  • Publication number: 20230247364
Abstract: Electroacoustic drivers that can be utilized in loudspeaker systems that utilize drivers having a magnetic negative spring (MNS) (such as reluctance assist drivers (RAD) and permanent magnet crown (PMC) drivers). The electroacoustic drivers can be used at all audio frequencies, including subwoofer frequencies. The magnetic negative springs of the electroacoustic drivers can cancel, or partially cancel, the large pressure forces on a sound panel (of an audio speaker) so that substantial subwoofer notes can be efficiently and cost effectively produced in small/portable speakers. The electroacoustic drivers can include a stabilizing/centering mechanism to overcome the destabilizing forces of a MNS that are too large for a voice coil alone to produce.

  • Patent number: 11699456
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for generating a transcript of a legal proceeding or other multi-speaker conversation or performance in real time or near-real time using multi-channel audio capture. Different speakers or participants in a conversation may each be assigned a separate microphone that is placed in proximity to the given speaker, where each audio channel includes audio captured by a different microphone. Filters may be applied to isolate each channel to include speech utterances of a different speaker, and these filtered channels of audio data may then be processed in parallel to generate speech-to-text results that are interleaved to form a generated transcript.

  • Publication number: 20230196595
Abstract: Medical imaging systems, methods, and devices are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, an imaging system includes (i) a camera array configured to capture intraoperative image data of a surgical scene in substantially real-time and (ii) a processing device communicatively coupled to the camera array. The processing device can be configured to synthesize a three-dimensional (3D) image corresponding to a virtual perspective of the scene based on the intraoperative image data from the cameras. The imaging system is further configured to receive and/or store initial image data, such as medical scan data corresponding to a portion of a patient in the scene. The processing device can register the initial image data to the intraoperative image data, and overlay the registered initial image data over the corresponding portion of the 3D image of the scene to present a mediated-reality view.

  • Patent number: 11682165
Abstract: Methods of determining the depth of a scene and associated systems are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, a method can include augmenting depth data of a scene captured with a depth sensor with depth data from one or more images of the scene. For example, the method can include capturing image data of the scene with a plurality of cameras. The method can further include generating a point cloud representative of the scene based on the depth data from the depth sensor and identifying a missing region of the point cloud, such as a region occluded from the view of the depth sensor. The method can then include generating depth data for the missing region based on the image data. Finally, the depth data for the missing region can be merged with the depth data from the depth sensor to generate a merged point cloud representative of the scene.

Abstract: A system and method are provided for proactively buffering quantum key distribution (QKD) key material. The method includes monitoring key generation rates and surpluses at QKD devices at each node of a QKD link in a QKD network, retrieving surplus key material from the QKD devices at one or both nodes of the QKD link, and buffering the surplus key material in a local storage at one or both nodes in the QKD link. The surplus key material can be used to offset overhead introduced in securely relaying keys between non-adjacent demand pairs in the QKD network. The surplus key material can also be used to offset future transient decreases in key generation rates.
