  • Publication number: 20080238903
Abstract: An exemplary on-screen display (OSD) controlling system (1) includes an extended display identification data integrated circuit (EDID IC, 12) and a scalar integrated circuit (IC, 13) electrically connected to the EDID IC. The EDID IC includes a read-write part (122). The scalar IC includes a micro-controller unit (MCU, 131). The MCU is configured for processing data of the read-write part of the EDID IC. Because the scalar IC is connected to the EDID IC and can process the data stored in the read-write part, individualized information can be inputted by a user and displayed. Thus, the OSD controlling system can satisfy the demand for customization of an OSD.

  • Publication number: 20080220206
Abstract: According to one embodiment, a semiconductor die for increasing usable area of a wafer and for increasing yield has a substantially hexagonal shape. The wafer can have, for example, a circular shape. The semiconductor die can be diced by, for example, using a water-jet-guided laser. In one embodiment, the semiconductor die results in an approximately 2.0% to 4.0% reduction in the unusable area of the wafer. Moreover, the substantially hexagonal shape of the semiconductor die reduces stress at corners of the semiconductor die, thus increasing the yield of the wafer.

  • Publication number: 20080220220
Abstract: According to one embodiment, a semiconductor die having increased usable area has at least six sides. The semiconductor die has a reduced stress at each corner of the die, resulting in smaller keep out zones near the corners of the semiconductor die, which allow the placement of bond pads near each corner of the die. The semiconductor die further allows the placement of active circuitry near each corner of the semiconductor die. One embodiment results in a 5.0% increase in usable area on the semiconductor die.

Abstract: In a high field magnetic resonance imaging apparatus and a method for obtaining signals having a high signal-to-noise ratio with the receiving coil thereof, the apparatus has at least a basic magnet and a receiving coil, the basic magnet generating a basic magnetic field, and the receiving coil being disposed within the basic magnetic field and forming an accommodating cavity. The accommodating cavity of the receiving coil is perpendicular to the direction of the basic magnetic field and is positioned in the field of view of the apparatus. The receiving coil is a loop type coil. The apparatus can further have a bracket for fixing the receiving coil. In the method, a receiving coil is used to receive signals in a magnetic field, wherein the receiving coil is perpendicular to the direction of the magnetic field.
