    Abstract: A detachable top tube apparatus includes two tubes, two spring-biased detents, two hooks, two latches and an elastic element. The tubes are telescopically connected to each other. Each of the spring-biased detents is connected to a related one of the tubes. Each of the hooks includes a portion inserted in a related one of the tubes. Each of the latches each including two wings pivotally connected to a related one of the tubes between a releasing position and a locking position. In the releasing position, each of the latches allows a portion of a bicycle to be hooked by and unhooked from the related hook. In the locking position, each of the latches retains the portion of the bicycle hooked by the related hook. The elastic element interconnects the tubes.

    Abstract: Automatic red-eye object classification in digital images using a boosting-based framework. In a first example embodiment, a method for classifying a candidate red-eye object in a digital photographic image includes several acts. First, a candidate red-eye object in a digital photographic image is selected. Next, a search scale set and a search region for the candidate red-eye object where an eye object may reside is determined. Then, the number of subwindows that satisfy an AdaBoost classifier is determined. This number is denoted as a vote. Next, the maximum size of the subwindows that satisfy the AdaBoost classifier is determined. Then, a normalized threshold is calculated by multiplying a predetermined constant threshold by the calculated maximum size. Next, the vote is compared with the normalized threshold. Finally, the candidate red-eye object is transformed into a true red-eye object if the vote is greater than the normalized threshold.

    Abstract: Face verification is performed using video data. The two main modules are face image capturing and face verification. In face image capturing, good frontal face images are captured from input video data. A frontal face quality score discriminates between frontal and profile faces. In face verification, a local binary pattern histogram is selected as the facial feature descriptor for its high discriminative power and computational efficiency. Chi-Square (?2) distance between LBP histograms from two face images are then calculated as a face dissimilarity measure. The decision whether or not two images belong to the same person is then made by comparing the corresponding distance with a pre-defined threshold. Given the fact that more than one face images can be captured per person from video data, several feature based and decision based aggregators are applied to combine pair-wise distances to further improve the verification performance.

The stress of deposited film adhering in the reactor (1) is increased over that exhibited at air cooling without blower so as to positively generate thermal stress with the result that the deposited film would undergo forced cracking over that exhibited at air cooling without blower. Microparticles scattered by the cracking are efficiently discharged from the reactor forcibly through purging in the reactor in the state of atmospheric pressure.

The current splitter is used for increasing the current flowing through the current splitter when the temperature rises. Therefore, the rise of the first output voltage of the voltage generator will be restrained, and the temperature compensation can be achieved.

The method includes the following steps: a Mobile Station (MS) inquiring a list of forbidden Public Land Mobile Networks (PLMNs) and access technology identifiers, which is saved by itself, when selecting a PLMN network; the MS determining whether the selected PLMN network and the access technology exist in the list of forbidden PLMNs and access technology identifiers, if they exist, the MS will not send a Location Updating Request to a Mobile Switching Center/Serving GPRS Support Node (MSC/SGSN); otherwise, the MS will send the Location Updating Request to the MSC/SGSN in order to access to the network. The present invention makes it possible to implement the access restrictions upon different types of access networks using different restriction rules.
