The method includes: extracting text feature information of the documents, establish a social network based on information related with the documents, performing graph clustering based on the social network to obtain structural sub-set, extracting structural feature information of the structural sub-set, and performing clustering on the documents based on the text feature information and the structural feature information.

The method includes: collecting memory application information of at least one node of a computer system that is implementing the method; predicting a memory overload period and an overload memory size of a first node where memory overload will occur based on the memory application information; and scheduling a memory space according to the memory overload period and the overload memory size.

Abstract: A proxy server and a hierarchical network system and a distributed workload management method. According to one embodiment of this disclosure, the proxy server includes: a rate controller configured to, based on measured request-related information and service quality parameters relative to service levels of requests, periodically determine a dispatch rate for requests of each service level, wherein the sum of the dispatch rate for respective service levels is less than or equal to a predetermined rate; and a request dispatcher configured to dispatch the requests of the corresponding service level in accordance with the dispatch rate determined by the rate controller. One aspect of the disclosure realizes a low overhead, highly scalable, simple and efficient workload management system to achieve QoS assurance and overload protection.

Abstract: A computer processing method includes receiving network data; filtering a node with a degree higher than a predefined threshold in the network data; storing the filtered node and its neighborhood relationship; clustering the filtered network data to obtain primary group(s); and obtaining a final group based on the filtered node and its neighborhood relationship and the primary group(s). The computer processing method and a corresponding system can be applicable to the processing for network data of large scale, and reduce greatly the processing time for clustering the network data of large scale, and the invention can be implemented well in parallel.

Abstract: Herein is described a method for identifying semiconductor radiation detector materials based on the mobility of internally generated electrons and holes. It was designed for the early stages of exploration, when samples are not available as single crystals, but as crystalline powders. Samples are confined under pressure in an electric field and the increase in current resulting from exposure to a high-intensity source of ionization current (e.g., 60Co gamma rays) is measured. A pressure cell device is described herein to carry out the method. For known semiconductors, the d.c. ionization current depends on voltage according to the Hecht equation, and for known insulators the d.c. ionization current is below detection limits. This shows that the method can identify semiconductors in spite of significant carrier trapping. Using this method and pressure cell, it was determined that new materials BiOI, PbIF, BiPbO2Cl, BiPbO2Br, BiPbO2I, Bi2GdO4Cl, Pb3O2I2, and Pb5O4I2 are semiconductors.

Abstract: An input image (e.g. a digital RGB color image) is subjected to an eye classifier that is targeted at discriminating a complete eye pattern from any non-eye patterns. The red-eye candidate list with associated bounding boxes that are generated by the red-eye classifier are received. The bounding rectangles are subjected to object segmentation. A connected component labeling procedure is then applied to obtain one or more red regions. The largest red region is then chosen for feature extraction. A number of features are then extracted from this region. Then these features are used to determine if the particular candidate red-eye object is a mouth.

Abstract: A magnesium alloy includes about 7.2 to about 7.8 wt % aluminum, about 0.45 wt % to about 0.90 wt % zinc, about 0.17 wt % to about 0.40 wt % manganese, about 0.30 wt % to about 1.5 wt % rare earth elements, about 0.00050 wt % to about 0.0015 wt % beryllium, and the rest being magnesium and unavoidable impurities. A method of making the magnesium alloy is further provided.

Abstract: A proxy server and a hierarchical network system and a distributed workload management method. According to one embodiment of this disclosure, the proxy server includes: a rate controller configured to, based on measured request-related information and service quality parameters relative to service levels of requests, periodically determine a dispatch rate for requests of each service level, wherein the sum of the dispatch rate for respective service levels is less than or equal to a predetermined rate; and a request dispatcher configured to dispatch the requests of the corresponding service level in accordance with the dispatch rate determined by the rate controller. One aspect of the disclosure realizes a low overhead, highly scalable, simple and efficient workload management system to achieve QoS assurance and overload protection.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods and compositions for enhanced delivery of siRNA or miRNA, into the interior of multilayered tissues, and into the cytoplasm or nucleus of cells of a tissue. Such methods and compositions yield tumor-selective and intracellular delivery of RNAi agents and allow for RNAi-mediated activity such as knock-down of the target genes and associated products. The current disclosure further provides methods and compositions for improving the intracellular bioavailability of nucleotide agents.

Abstract: A network selection method and a terminal device are provided. When a terminal performs location registration or location update, if access to a first network domain fails, a locally-configured domain priority setting item is obtained; if the domain priority setting item indicates that the first network domain is preferential, the terminal reselects a network; if the domain priority setting item indicates that a second network domain is preferential, the terminal judges whether registration in a second network is successful; if the registration is unsuccessful, the terminal reselects a network; if the registration is successful, the terminal does not reselect a network.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer readable media for maintaining packet data protocol (PDP) context while performing data offload are disclosed. According to one aspect, a method for maintaining PDP context while performing data offload includes detecting a data offload condition wherein a UE for which a first network node is maintaining a PDP context is sending or receiving data using a data path that does not include the first network node. While the data offload condition exists, packets are sent from a source other than the UE to the first network node so as to cause the first network node to maintain the PDP context for the UE. In one embodiment, a node interposed between the UE and the first network node periodically sends dummy packets or heart beat packets to the first network node on behalf of the UE, which may include packets that appear to come from the UE.

The stress of deposited film adhering in the reactor (1) is increased over that exhibited at air cooling without blower so as to positively generate thermal stress with the result that the deposited film would undergo forced cracking over that exhibited at air cooling without blower. Microparticles scattered by the cracking are efficiently discharged from the reactor forcibly through purging in the reactor in the state of atmospheric pressure.

Abstract: Automatic face recognition. In a first example embodiment, a method for automatic face recognition includes several acts. First, a face pattern and two eye patterns are detected. Then, the face pattern is normalized. Next, the normalized face pattern is transformed into a normalized face feature vector of Gabor feature representations. Then, a difference image vector is calculated. Next, the difference image vector is projected to a lower-dimensional intra-subject subspace extracted from a pre-collected training face database. Then, a square function is applied to each component of the projection. Next, a weighted summation of the squared projection is calculated. Then, the previous four acts are repeated for each normalized gallery image feature vector. Finally, the face pattern in the probe digital image is classified as belonging to the gallery image with the highest calculated weighted summation where the highest calculated weighted summation is above a predefined threshold.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for assisting in delivering update contents in computer networks are provided. The computer networks also comprise at least one peer client, and the assistant apparatus comprises: an evaluating unit configured to evaluate a user's interaction preference according to the user's interaction history; and a prefetching unit configured to evaluate, in response to the received update notification, whether to prefetch the update contents corresponding to the update notification according to the evaluated interaction preference, and, if prefetching, obtain the update contents from at least one peer client. The corresponding method is also provided. With the apparatus and method in this invention, the update contents in computer networks can be delivered between peer clients, not via the server, which reduces the server load without impairing user experience on client side.
