  • Publication number: 20210177594
Abstract: A medical device delivery system can include a dilator including a tip having a taper in a distal direction, a coupler, and a flap that radially protrudes from the tip. The flap can be configured to bend against a body lumen to cover at least a portion of the delivery system when the dilator is tracked through the body lumen. A medical device delivery system can include a dilator including a tip having a lumen and a coupler having a lumen. The coupler can be configured to securely connect to the tip such that the lumen of the tip is aligned with the lumen of the coupler to allow a guide wire to pass therethrough. Methods for loading a medical device into a delivery catheter are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 11035772
Abstract: Apparatuses and methods are disclosed for the analysing of non-Newtonian fluids and determining parameters to characterise the relationship between shear stresses and shear rates, i.e. the parameters of one or more rheological models of viscosity. A plurality of viscosity measurements are made in a fluid using one or more vibratory transducers operating at a plurality of frequencies. Parameters for the fluid are determined based on the measured viscosity values and the frequencies of vibration at which the viscosity measurements were obtained.

  • Publication number: 20210172847
Abstract: Systems and techniques are described making use of a vibratory transducer and a reflector spaced from the vibratory transducer to form a cavity for receiving a fluid between the vibratory transducer and the reflector, wherein the vibratory transducer is vibrated to generate a wave in the cavity, which propagates through fluid in the cavity from a surface of the vibratory transducer and is being reflected by the reflector to generate a counter-propagating wave in the cavity. Based on the wave generated at the vibratory transducer and the counter-propagating wave generated at the reflector in combination, an indication of the energy returned to the vibratory transducer by the reflector is determined. One or more material properties of the fluid are determined based on the determined indication of the energy returned to the vibratory transducer.

  • Publication number: 20210077258
Abstract: A heart valve therapy system including a delivery device and a stented valve. The delivery device includes an outer sheath, an inner shaft, an optional hub assembly, and a plurality of tethers. In a delivery state, a stent frame of the prosthesis is crimped over the inner shaft and maintained in a compressed condition by the outer sheath. The tethers are connected to the stent frame. In a partial deployment state, the outer sheath is at least partially withdrawn, allowing the stent frame to self-expand. Tension in the tethers prevents the stent frame from rapidly expanding and optionally allowing recapture. Upon completion of the stent frame expansion, the tethers are withdrawn.

  • Patent number: 10695143
Abstract: In some examples, a medical device package may include a backing card that is configured to secure a medical device to a major surface of the backing card. The backing card is configured to be assembled from an open state into a closed state in which flaps on one or more ends of a central region of the backing card move over some of the central region and cover some of the secured medical device. The closed state defines a reduced footprint relative to the unfolded state. The backing card may be sealed in a pouch, which may then be housed in a carton. The carton includes exterior walls that enclose the sealed backing card and spacing elements that receive the sealed backing card at a relative location within the carton and holds the backing card a threshold distance from the exterior walls of the carton.

  • Publication number: 20200200663
Abstract: A model of the viscoplastic boundary layer of a yield stress fluid is described and, based on which, there is provided a method comprises the steps of: vibrating a vibratory transducer at resonance at a first resonant mode in a yield stress fluid and making a first measurement of the resonant frequency; providing a vibration to liquefy at least a portion of the yield stress fluid around the one or more vibratory transducers; while said portion of the yield stress material is liquefied, vibrating a vibratory transducer at resonance at the first resonant mode in the yield stress fluid and making a second measurement of the resonant frequency; and estimating the yield stress of the yield stress fluid based on the first and second measurements. The vibration to liquefy yield stress fluid around the one or more transducers may be provided by the making of the second measurement at an increased amplitude of vibration relative to the first measurement.

  • Publication number: 20200106630
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide methods, systems, apparatuses, and computer program products that are configured to generate a predicted channel add object in an improved system of networked computing devices. The embodiments disclose an apparatus and system that provide channel invite suggestions. The channel invite suggestions comprise recommendations of users to invite to group-based communication channels. To provide the channel-invite suggestions, the group-based communication system generates a user-channel data structure that stores a plurality of values that capture relationships between users and group-based communication channels. The values may capture information regarding membership of a user in a group-based communication channel, starring of a group-based communication channel by a user, a level of activity of a user in a group-based communication channel, and a user's word usage in a group-based communication channel.
