After the antioxidant is combined with the UHMWPE, the resulting blend may be formed into slabs, bar stock, and/or incorporated into a substrate, such as a metal, for example. The resulting product may then be subjected to crosslinking irradiation. In one exemplary embodiment, the UHMWPE blend is preheated prior to subjecting the same to crosslinking irradiation. Once irradiated, the UHMWPE blended product may be machined, packaged, and sterilized in accordance with conventional techniques.

Upon detection, counters are adjusted accordingly to maintain an accurate count of users or groups of users on a system. A database of unique identifiers for each connection is maintained, where the unique identifier is a concatenation of a Network Access Server (NAS) and the connection's incoming NAS node number. If a user requests permission to log into the system, the MSS first checks the database to determine if the unique identifier is already logged in. If so, then a hardware or communications failure has occurred and the MSS must make the appropriate adjustments to the database and counter.

Abstract: Digital content, such as movies, television productions, and the like are processed and delivered based upon digital masters. The masters may be produced as the initial content, or any other content may be digitized to create the masters. An HD full aperture version is used to create a reduced set of masters that can be used to fill orders having a wide range of features and options. The HD full aperture version is combined with pan and scanned instructions parsed from original pan and scan files to permit automatic creation of the basic masters used to fill the orders, such as a letter box version, a 16:9 FF version, and a 4:3 FF version. The derived masters may be HD versions or SD versions. Upon receipt of orders, the proper version is selected and assembled with any other components that may be ordered by the customer. Ingestion of the masters may be delayed until order reception, and transcoding of the original master may also be delayed until order reception.

Abstract: In an example embodiment, an IP phone is connected to a network switch that has an established communications channel to a call control server. The network switch acts as a proxy for the phone exchanging registration information that in effect keeps the phone registered while the phone itself can go to sleep as defined by periods of the day, periods where the phone is unused, or presence, which can then wake-up quickly with assistance from the switch. If the switch is not able to act as proxy, the phone can switch from sleep mode to “wake” up mode at predetermined intervals, such as every 30 seconds, in order to respond to keep alive packets from the call control server.

In the event of a discrepancy between the event notification and either representation, the second element selectively disregards the event notification or rebuilds (recovers) the second representation by copying one or more attributes of the first representation.

A pass through is provided by the device driver to a host bus adapter (HBA) for passing communications to a device in the storage area network from the SAN management application. The storage area network (SAN) management and configuration apparatus via enabling in-band communications includes a storage area network (SAN) management application for communicating with at least one SAN-connected host system. Each SAN connected host system includes a management application agent for communicating with a host bus adapter (HBA) device driver. The HBA device driver is provided for communicating with a device in the storage area network.

Abstract: There is disclosed an electrically insulating device in the form of a sleeve (12) for a downhole tool, for electrically insulating a first threaded electrically conductive member in the form of an anchor sub (16) from a second threaded electrically conductive member in the form of an insulated sub (18). An assembly (10) including the sleeve (12) has particular use in measurement while drilling (MWD)/logging while drilling (LWD) procedures. In one embodiment, a third member in the form of a threaded electrically conductive sleeve sub (20) is coupled to the insulated sub by a second sleeve (14), to create an insulated gap between the anchor and sleeve subs (16, 20).
