  • Publication number: 20150382035
Abstract: An approach is provided for determining a program clock reference (PCR) value validity, for avoiding inaccurate variable delay reference (VDR) values, and for avoiding a mismatch in a data packet between a sequence number and a packet number for a wireless display extension. The approach involves determining to generate a data packet carrier having an optional PCR value, a VDR) value, and a validity indicator. The approach may further involve processing the data packet carrier to determine whether the data packet carrier has the optional PCR value. The approach may also involve causing, at least in part, a surrogate PCR value to be generated based, at least in part, on a determined absence of the optional PCR value from the data packet carrier.

  • Patent number: 9114415
Abstract: A system and method for dispensing sprayable material such as paint and other liquefied products. The system includes a dispenser such as a marking stick or other commercially available dispenser. The dispenser is configured to accept a container housed inside a cartridge and filled with sprayable material. The sprayable material is sprayed through a valve and spray tip at one end of the cartridge. An electrically powered motor assembly is removably coupled to the cartridge. The motor is used to power a pump that is incorporated in the cartridge to draw the sprayable material from the container. The material is pumped from the container and delivered through a tube to a spray head. The pressure generated by the pump inside the container and the tube are sufficient to spray the product through the valve and spray tip when valve is opened.

  • Publication number: 20150216021
Abstract: A synchronized speed bump illumination system and method is provided that includes powered LEDs that may be seen by individuals at night and in low light conditions, or during the day to increase visibility and direct a driver's attention to the speed bump. The speed bump system comprises sections each with a housing having a flat bottom surface and an elevated top surface to form the bump. A plurality of LEDs provides illumination to light windows embedded in the top surface of the sections. A wireless remote control is used to simultaneously transmit signals to an independent circuit in each section so that the groupings of LEDs in each section provide a predefined illumination pattern among the sections.

  • Publication number: 20150157357
Abstract: An adjustable, disposable dermal curette is structured to allow a user-practitioner to ergonomically grip a handle and manipulate an adjustable slider with a digit of their hand in order to change the diameter size of the flexible blade formed in an adjustable loop to the useful range of diameter sizes required. The user-practitioner can lock and unlock the slider in place quickly without the need to interrupt their procedure. The adjustable curette solves the problem of requiring multiple curette loop sizes for a procedure and results in improved quality of care and a savings of time and healthcare dollars.

  • Patent number: 9046229
Abstract: A stackable LED flare and system for use at night, in low light conditions or during the day where a lighted flare provides greater visibility. The flare comprises a multi-sided housing with a panel on each side and having a top and a base. It has a plurality of LEDs aligned in windows positioned in at least one of the panels. The flare includes a re-chargeable battery encased in the housing for powering the flare and a circuit for delivering power and operational control from the battery to the LEDs upon activation by a switch. A set of contacts positioned on the outside of the housing deliver a charge to the battery. The contacts are configured to allow multiple flares to be stacked and charged simultaneously. The system also includes a charging station that accommodates a stack of two or more flares during the charging operation.

  • Publication number: 20140241380
Abstract: A data packet or payload defined by a first format, is generated and is wrapped with headers as defined by a second format, and is processed through a pass through mechanism for transmission based on the second format. The processing includes adding or encapsulating the payload in the transmission data packet. When receiving the transmitted data packet, the headers may be parsed, and the payload processed.
