  • Patent number: 12041075
Abstract: In some implementations, a device may monitor incoming messages to at least one message account of a user. The device may determine, based on monitoring the incoming messages, that one or more messages, of the incoming messages, are associated with resetting authentication information for one or more accounts of the user. The device may determine, based on determining that the one or more messages are associated with resetting authentication information, whether the one or more messages are indicative of abnormal authentication information resetting activity. The device may perform one or more actions based on determining that the one or more messages are indicative of abnormal authentication information resetting activity.

  • Publication number: 20240232730
Abstract: Disclosed embodiments may include a system for curating online vehicle reservations. The system may determine, from received vehicle data including first timing data and indicating a selected vehicle, that the selected vehicle is electric. The system may receive accommodation data including second timing data and indicating a selected accommodation. The system may determine, from comparing the first timing data to the second timing data, that the selected vehicle will likely require charging at the selected accommodation. The system may determine whether the accommodation data includes an indication of electric vehicle charging facilities. Responsive to determining that the selected accommodation does not provide the indication of electric vehicle charging facilities, the system may generate a first graphical user interface warning that no charging station is available for the selected vehicle at the selected accommodation and transmit the first graphical user interface to a user device for display.

  • Patent number: 12034714
Abstract: Techniques to pre-authenticate an identity for an electronic account are described and claimed by the present disclosure. The electronic account may enforce a multi-factor authentication procedure that involves a number of steps. In addition to the electronic account, a user may have other accounts requiring authentications. Successful authentications with respect to those other accounts may provide evidence of the user's identity. If sufficient evidence is present, one or more steps of the multi-factor authentication procedure may be bypassed. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

  • Publication number: 20240223571
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses are described herein for improving computer authentication processes by using physical environment information. A computing device may receive video depicting a physical environment and process that video to identify one or more first objects. The computing device may receive a request for access to an account. The computing device may send a prompt for a physical environment description and receive, in response, an indication of one or more second objects. The indication of the one or more second objects may comprise video of the physical environment, a verbal description of the physical environment, and/or text describing the physical environment. • Publication number: 20240220600
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses are described herein for improving the security of personal information by preventing attempts at gleaning personal information from authentication questions. A computing device may receive a request for access to an account associated with a user. The request may comprise candidate authentication information. Based on comparing the candidate authentication information with the account data, the computing device may generate a synthetic authentication question. The synthetic authentication question may be generated as if the candidate authentication information is valid. A response to the synthetic authentication question may be received, and the request for access to the account may be denied.

  • Patent number: 12028325
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses are described herein for improving computer authentication processes through the exclusion of certain merchants that may cause confusion. Indications of a plurality of different merchants, including merchant logos may be received. The indications may be processed to identify at least one similarity between a first merchant and a second merchant. A request for access to an account associated with a user and transaction data corresponding to the account may be received. Based on the similarity between the first merchant and the second merchant, at least one transaction corresponding to the first merchant may be removed to generate processed transaction record. An authentication question may be generated and a candidate response to the authentication question may be received. Based on the candidate response, access to the account may be provided.

  • Patent number: 12026215
Abstract: In some implementations, a device may detect loading of a first web page associated with a domain, and may create an inline frame element that references a second web page associated with the domain. The second web page may require an authenticated user session to access particular content of the second web page. The device may insert the inline frame element into code for the first web page, and may transmit a request for the second web page based on inserting the inline frame element into the code for the first web page. The device may receive a response to the request for the second web page, and may determine whether there is an authenticated user session for the domain based on the response. The device may selectively perform an action based on determining whether there is an authenticated user session for the domain.

  • Publication number: 20240211585
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses are described herein for improving computer authentication processes by generating authentication questions based on the location of a user. Transaction data indicating a plurality of transactions associated with a user account may be received. Location data indicating a plurality of locations of a user device might be received. At least a subset of the plurality of transactions may be tagged, based on the location data, with an indication that a user was present for a respective transaction. For example, a location of a merchant might be compared to a user device location indicated by the location data. A plurality of authentication questions might be generated based on the subset of the plurality of transactions. Access to the user account might be provided based on responses to the plurality of authentication questions.

  • Publication number: 20240211558
Abstract: Aspects described herein may relate to techniques for detecting login activity to a financial account during a knowledge-based authentication process. The login activity may be related to access to an online interface for the financial account. The detection of login activity during the authentication process my indicate that the integrity of the authentication process is compromised as login access may provide an individual with transaction data that may be used to answer transaction-based authentication questions. As a result of detecting login activity, an alternative authentication process may be initiated or an authentication request related to the financial account may be denied.

  • Publication number: 20240211571
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses are described herein for improving computer authentication processes using vocal confidence processing. A request for access to an account may be received. An authentication question may be provided to a user. Voice data indicating one or more vocal utterances by the user in response to the authentication question may be received. The voice data may be processed, and a first confidence score that indicates a degree of confidence of the user when answering the authentication question may be determined. An overall confidence score may be modified based on the first confidence score. Based on determining that the overall confidence score satisfies a threshold, data preventing the authentication question from being used in future authentication processes may be stored. The data may be removed when a time period expires.

  • Publication number: 20240211954
Abstract: Systems and methods of the present disclosure include computer systems for improving data security. To do so, an authorization request associated with a user profile is received, including a time-stamp for a profile activity, a profile identifier, and a value. Application analytics data for a software application on a user device associated with the user profile is accessed, including an open event indicator indicating a time of a loading, and a close event indicator indicating a time of a termination. An open period of the software application at the time-stamp is determined based on the application open event indicator and the application close event indicator. A reduced set of fraud checks is selected and executed when the time-stamp associated with the profile activity is within the open period of the software application. A fraud determination is generated, and an authorization notification is generated based on the fraud determination.

  • Publication number: 20240211949
Abstract: Techniques for multi-factor authentication (MFA) of an age of a user are provided. A user may request online purchase of an age-restricted product or service. The user may provide an email that is associated with metadata. The email and metadata may be processed to determine if the user is associated with the email and to determine an age of the email. The age of the email may serve as a proxy for determining a minimum age of the user. The online purchase may be authorized if the minimum age of the user meets or exceeds the minimum age required to purchase the age-restricted product or service. The age of the email may be used along with other information provided by the user to further improve or confirm an estimated age of the user. Alternative forms of personal identifiers other than email may be used such as social media handles.
