  • Publication number: 20180212857
Abstract: Automated devices send messages of a first batch sequence individually to a target queue of a receiving node of a cluster of server nodes, the messages having a different sequence number indicative of their relative positions within the batch sequence, and each is associated with a first logic unit of work identifier. In response to determining that a message counter meets a threshold, a force commit packet is generated to include the sequence number of the last batch message sent to the target queue. If the force commit packet sequence number is not the last position number within the batch sequence, a second logic unit of work identifier is associated with a subset sequence of the batch of messages having sequence numbers spanning from the first number to the force commit packet sequence number, and the subset sequence messages are committed to the receiving node target queue.

  • Publication number: 20170265239
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may prevent rejected attachment requests when connecting to a trusted wireless local area network (WLAN) and from a wireless wide area network (WWAN). For example, an attachment packet data network (PDN) connection may be maintained with the WWAN while connected to the trusted WLAN. In some cases, the connection used to maintain the attachment may be an internet protocol (IP) multimedia subsystem (IMS) connection. Alternatively, the UE may determine that the WLAN connection is a trusted connection and deactivate the WWAN connection. Should the WLAN become unavailable the UE may reactivate the connection with the WWAN.

  • Patent number: 9549356
Abstract: The present application relates to the technology of communications. Disclosed are a method and device for shunting IP streams during 3GPP access switching; after having received a command for 3GPP access switching transmitted by a source 3GPP access device, a user equipment (UE) determines the IP streams to be transferred, and then performs 3GPP access switching and IP stream transferring at the same time, thus improving IP stream transferring efficiency. In addition, the IP streams to be transferred contain an IP stream capable of being transmitted via WLAN access after a target 3GPP access device fails to allocate resources to a bearers for transmitting the IP stream, thereby avoiding service interruption due to bearer loss, and thus improving the QoS ensurance for the service.

  • Publication number: 20160309523
Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses for reducing delays associated with an attachment procedure are disclosed. In accordance with the present disclosure, a user equipment (UE) may initiate an attachment procedure with a network over a non-access stratum (NAS) layer and detect a condition that may delay completion of the attachment. Based on the detection, the UE may determine whether the condition may be resolved before failure in the attachment procedure. If the UE determines that the condition can be resolved before attachment failure, the UE may suspend a timer associated with the attachment procedure at the NAS layer to allow more time for the UE to complete an authentication associated with the attachment. Conversely, if the UE determines that the condition cannot be resolved before attachment failure, the UE may abort the attachment procedure with the network and initiate a fallback attachment procedure with the network via a different base station.

  • Patent number: 9473931
Abstract: Various embodiments provide methods performed by an modem-assisted-service-classification (MASC) client application operating on a multi-SIM computing device for implementing MASC functionality for two or more subscriptions. In various embodiments, the MASC client may implement MASC functionality by associating MASC policies for one or more access point names (APNs) with a specific subscription and by applying those policies to applications associated with those one or more APNs while that specific subscription is in active communication with its network. Thus, by managing a mapping of subscriptions, APNs/networks, and applications, the MASC client may enable implementation of MASC functionality for a multi-SIM computing device.
