Abstract: A printer includes an enclosure, a paper output tray, and two positioning devices. The enclosure includes a receiving base and two side portions extending from the receiving base. The paper output tray is pivotally mounted between the two side portions. The two positioning devices are mounted to the two side portions. The paper output tray is placed in the receiving base in a first position. The paper output tray can rotate to resist each of the two positioning devices and move to a side portion, thereby enabling the paper output tray to rotate to a second position. Each of the two positioning devices restores to an original position to support the paper output tray stably in the second position, to enable the removal of a paper jam or other circumstance.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method and an apparatus for compensating frequency shifting of an antenna, applicable to a wireless communication device having at least one frequency shifted operating mode, in which a frequency shifting exists due to a variation of a device use mode or an environmental condition, wherein the method comprises setting in the antenna at least one compensation matching circuit corresponding to the at least one frequency shifted operating mode; detecting the use mode, in which the wireless communication device operates; when the wireless communication device is in the frequency shifted operating mode, switching to a compensation matching circuit corresponding to the frequency shifted operating mode as detected. In the present invention, the difficulty in the bandwidth design of the antenna is reduced, and the effect of the variation of the use mode or environmental condition on the performance of the antenna is compensated adaptively.

Abstract: The invention discloses a method for obtaining calibration parameters of a touch screen comprising displaying at least two preset calibration reference points on a LCD; obtaining physical coordinates of sampling points obtained by clicking on positions corresponding to the calibration reference points on the touch screen and displaying the sampling points according to the physical coordinates and the calibration parameters; and if it is determined that the displayed sampling points are not coincident with their corresponding calibration reference points, adjusting distances between the sampling points and their corresponding calibration reference points, determining a minimal deviation between the adjusted sampling points and their corresponding calibration reference points and applying the minimal deviation to update the calibration parameters. The invention also provides an apparatus for obtaining calibration parameters of a touch screen.

Abstract: An elliptically polarized (EP) dielectric block antenna comprises a linearly polarized (LP) dielectric block antenna and a wave polarizer integrated with the LP dielectric block antenna. The wave polarizer converts the LP wave of the LP dielectric block antenna into an EP wave or a circularly polarized (CP) wave. The wave polarizer is directly integrated with the LP dielectric block antenna by fabricating inclined slots on faces of the dielectric block at an oblique angle to the LP wave direction of polarization. This provides a very compact EP or CP antenna with a broadside or omnidirectional radiation pattern. The EP or CP antenna is excited by an inner conductor of a SubMiniature version A (SMA) connector that can be directly connected to a coaxial line thereby providing a simple feed network for the antenna.

A plurality of continuous non-adhesive-coated air-transmittable patterns is formed in the adhesive layer of the air-permeable substrate. The non-adhesive-coated air-transmittable patterns are formed by employing a scrape mechanism to scrape off a portion of the adhesive from the adhesive layer of the air-permeable substrate. The adhesive tape is advantageous in more effective dry-keeping, enhanced adhesion, and reduced allergy caused by excessive adhesive.

Abstract: Equipment for a continuous casting operation includes a closed chamber having first and second connecting holes, a furnace unit disposed in the chamber, a horizontal casting apparatus connected to the first connecting hole and including at least one first die having a first passage connected to the melting furnace, a first drawing unit disposed downstream of the horizontal casting apparatus, an upcast casting apparatus disposed above the chamber and connected to the second connecting hole, and a second drawing unit disposed downstream of the upcast casting apparatus. The upcast casting apparatus includes at least one second die having a second passage connected to the melting furnace. With the equipment, either horizontal casting or upcasting may be performed.
