  • Publication number: 20100035559
Abstract: Remote control data is securely transmitted to a device under control. A remote control device transmits an acknowledge request for A ch to the device under control (S21). When the device under control has assigned A ch as the reception channel, acknowledge ACK is received. A ch is assigned as the transmission channel (S23), and a command frame is transmitted through A ch (S24). When acknowledge ACK has not been received, an acknowledge request for B ch is transmitted to the device under control (S25). When the device under control has assigned B ch as the reception channel, acknowledge ACK is received. B ch is assigned as the transmission channel (S27), and a command frame is transmitted through B ch (S28). The remote control device can transmits a command through a channel through which the device under control can receive the command, so that secure remote control can be accomplished.

  • Publication number: 20090231107
Abstract: A control device that specifies an output level to a reader/writer configured to supply an electrical signal corresponding to a radio signal to a stripline cell for transmitting the radio signal to an RFID tag and that has unique output characteristics. The control device includes a response analyzing section that checks the existence of a reaction in the RFID tag; and a distance calculation processing section that uses the output characteristics of the reader/writer from the output level specified to the reader/writer to obtain an electric field strength of the radio signal received by the RFID tag and that converts the electric field strength to a distance between a predetermined antenna and the RFID tag, the antenna transmitting the radio signal with a predetermined output and the RFID tag receiving the radio signal at a same electric field strength as the electric field strength.

  • Publication number: 20090186402
Abstract: As the results of mass sequencing of cDNA clones originating in barley varieties “H. spontaneum”, “Haruna Nijo” and “Akashinriki”, a large number of sites showing single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) among the varieties are found out. Because of involving nonsynonymous substitutions and likely relating to phenotypes inherent in respective varieties, these SNPs are usable for various purposes, for example, genetically distinguishing a variety, isolating a gene, producing/selecting a novel transformant and so on.

  • Publication number: 20090106581
Abstract: In a system for or method of data writing using a CPU and a plurality of memory banks connected to the CPU to enable the CPU to write the data thereon, a combination of data comprising data and their complement are written on a first memory bank and the same combination of data are written on a second memory bank, a sum of the combination of data written on the first and second memory banks is calculated, and when the sum of the combination of data written on one of the first and second memory banks is a specific value, it is determined that the data written on the one of the first and second memory banks are normal. With this, it becomes possible to surely determine whether the written data are normal or not, thereby enabling to enhance the data reliability.

  • Publication number: 20090053922
Abstract: A connector for a jack includes four contacts of first, second, third and fourth contacts each having a contact portion and a connection portion, and a housing, to exchange signals and to ascertain whether a plug connector has been inserted into the connector. The third contact substantially U-shaped in cross-section includes a contact piece having a first contact part adapted to contact the plug connector, and a spring piece having an elasticity facing to the contact piece and provided by forming a U-shaped slit in a part of the third contact at a location opposite to the contact piece. When the plug connector is inserted into the connector, the plug connector pushes the first contact part of the contact piece to cause the contact piece to be displaced to the spring piece so that the contact piece pushes the spring piece to cause the spring piece to be displaced toward the housing and at the same time the spring piece pushes the contact piece with each other with the aid of its elasticity.
