  • Publication number: 20170286944
Abstract: This disclosure relates to a payee applications and payment applications installed on a mobile communication device. The device authenticates the payee application with a transaction server and sends transaction data to the transaction server. The device then receives from the transaction server a transaction identifier and sends the transaction identifier to a payment application installed on the mobile communication device to allow the payment application to access the transaction data from the transaction server. In response, the device receives from the payment application a payment confirmation associated with the transaction identifier and sends to the transaction server a request for payment status, the request comprising the transaction identifier. Finally, the device receives response data indicative of the payment status from the transaction server and determines a validity of the payment confirmation based on the response data from the transaction server.

  • Publication number: 20170265120
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for providing small cell backhaul are disclosed. A network node that acts as a gateway for a local communication network to a main communication network through a bonded link with the main communication network also provides a wireless communication module with a backhaul communication link to the main communication network through its bonded link. A switch module in the network node switches communication traffic between the local communication network, the wireless communication module and the bonded link to the main communication network. The network node may power the wireless communication module utilizing remote power provided by the main communication network, the local communication network, and/or a local source of power. Apparatus and methods for providing a transparent bonded link through a network access multiplexer are also disclosed, including management of the bonded link and of nodes subtending from the bonded link.

  • Publication number: 20170221041
Abstract: This disclosure relates to facilitating payment by a payer using a payee application installed on a mobile communication device. The device detects an interaction by the payer with respect to the payee application to initiate a payment. In response to detecting the interaction, the device selects one of multiple payment applications installed on the mobile communication device and activates the one of the multiple payment applications to allow the payer to interact with the one of the multiple payment applications using a graphical user interface provided by the one of the multiple payment applications. Finally, the device sends payment data associated with the payment from the payee application to the one of the multiple payment applications to facilitate the payment. The payer can interact with the trusted payment application, which is an advantage over other payment methods where the payer provides credit card numbers directly to the payee.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a cable grasping assembly and an associated waterproof lockable disengaging swiveling electrical cable connector housing structure. The assembly includes and end cap, a cable-holding sleeve and a housing. The end cap threads onto the housing in such a way that it causes fingers of the housing to compress the cable holding sleeve onto a cable which passes through the bores of all three. The structure includes a male housing partially inserted into the bore of a female housing. Each housing has a generally cylindrical body with a cable support structure located within its bore. The two housings are free to rotate about the cylindrical surfaces of each other when locked together via a locking sleeve. The structure also includes a sealing structure carried by one of the housings that establishes a watertight seal between the housings when the male is partially inserted into the female.
