  • Publication number: 20160328642
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to sensor signal processing using an analog neural network. In an embodiment, a sensor signal processing system comprises: an analog neural network communicatively coupled to at least one sensor and a digital processor communicatively coupled to the analog neural network. The analog neural network is configured to receive a plurality of analog signals wherein the plurality of analog signals are associated with a plurality of sensor signals output by the at least one sensor. The analog neural network also determines an analog signal of the plurality of analog signals that is indicative of an event of interest and generates an activation signal to the digital processor in response to determining an analog signal is indicative of an event of interest. The digital processor is configured to receive the activation signal and transition to a higher-power state from a lower-power state in response to the activation signal.

  • Publication number: 20160162767
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for generating an information code is provided. In a generation apparatus, after data to be interpreted and data of an image to be displayed are acquired, a code figure that is provided with an image display region is generated and displayed on a display unit. After the code figure is displayed on the display unit in this way, when information designating an arrangement content of the image display region is inputted, an information code is generated. Specifically, an information code is generated in a form in which the image display region is newly arranged based on the arrangement content designated by the input, and a specification pattern region and a region to be interpreted are provided in positions other than that of the image display region. The information code generated in this way is displayed on the display unit.

  • Publication number: 20160101743
Abstract: Numerous fine projections (20) are formed interspersed on a plate-shape member (18), and the neutral plane (S) of each fine projection (20) is inclined at an inclination angle ? to the normal line (O) such that the contact center (Q) does not overlap with the base part in the plane direction of the surface (22), so when a pressing load (F) is applied, the moment acting on the fine projections (20) is large, and the fine projections (20) easily deform to bend in the respective inclination direction. By this means, the tactile softness (cushion properties) are improved by preventing the fine projections (20) from undergoing simple compression deformation in the axial direction, and stick-slip due to friction between the fine projections (20) and the surface (22) is avoided, making it possible to obtain a smooth and stable tactile softness.

  • Publication number: 20160042262
Abstract: An information code producing apparatus produces a free space inside the code region of an information code arranged on a medium such as sheets of paper. The free space is arranged at a position other than specification pattern regions. Data being interpreted, which are expressed by cells, are not recorded in the free space. The free space has a preset size which is larger than that of a single cell. The information code producing apparatus detects the size of this free space by, at least, either selection from a plurality of candidate shapes prepared in advance or input of shape designating information provided from the outside.
