    Abstract: A vehicle electric drive system and a hybrid engine-motor type vehicle drive system realizing simplification and miniaturization of electric parts and, moreover, reduction in cost while maintaining performances can be provided. A part 1 of wheels is driven by an engine. The wheels are driven by a motor as necessary. The motor, a generator, and an accessory battery are connected to each other via a voltage step-up/step-down device. The voltage step-up/step-down device has a function of stepping up power of the battery and supplying the stepping up power to the motor, and a function of stepped down power of the generator and supplying the stepped down power to the battery and the accessories.

When the user starts the communication, the mobile device operates to obtain the most approximate access point information from each of the public phones and then dial up the most approximate access point through the public phone/line well-specified to the user.

The base station connected to a wired LAN includes a wired connection unit connected to the wired LAN and a wireless communication unit communicating with a LAN terminal via radio waves. The base station finds frequency bands already used by other devices in a place where the base station is installed and sets up a frequency band not used by the other devices as a frequency band to be used by the wireless communication unit to automatically set up a frequency band of radio waves to be used by the wireless communication unit.

Next, characteristic quantity conversion means calculates a number of hash values from the electronic mail main text, as the characteristic quantity of the mail. If determined as being similar, the new mail is determined as a candidate for a mass mail (similar mails), and a prescribed number or more of similar mails are determined as a mass mail.
