  • Publication number: 20200201842
Abstract: Techniques are provided for storage tier verification checks. A determination is made that a mount operation of an aggregate of a set of volumes stored within a multi-tier storage environment has completed. A first metafile and a second metafile are maintained to track information related to the storage of objects of a volume of the aggregate within a remote object store that is a tier of the multi-tier storage environment. A distributed verification is performed between the first metafile and the second metafile to identify an inconsistency. Accordingly, the first metafile and the second metafile are reconciled to address the inconsistency so that storage information within the first metafile and the second metafile are consistent.

  • Publication number: 20200073567
Abstract: Techniques are provided for multi-tier write allocation. A storage system may store data within a multi-tier storage environment comprising a first storage tier (e.g., storage devices maintained by the storage system), a second storage tier (e.g., a remote object store provided by a third party storage provider), and/or other storage tiers. A determination is made that data (e.g., data of a write request received by the storage system) is to be stored within the second storage tier. The data is stored into a staging area of the first storage tier. A second storage tier location identifier, for referencing the data according to a format utilized by the second storage tier, is assigned to the data and provided to a file system hosting the data. The data is then destaged from the staging area into the second storage tier, such as within an object stored within the remote object store.

  • Publication number: 20200060545
Abstract: A system and associated methods for round-the-clock monitoring of an animal's health status includes an animal harness that is worn by the animal, and one or both of a mobile device and a remote server. The animal harness includes a plurality of sensors for collecting health measurements of the animal. The animal harness also includes a transceiver that communicates the heath measurements to one or both of the mobile device and the remote server, where a user may view the health measurements. Firmware in the animal harness, an application running in the mobile device, and software in the remote server processes and corrects the health measurements to generate a health status of the animal and notifications are generated when the animal's health is not within a safe range defined by the user.

  • Publication number: 20200046933
Abstract: A valve arrangement (60) is for a patient interface device (10) having a frame portion (16). The valve arrangement includes a valve member (36) having a coupling portion (44) and a blocking portion (46) extending from the coupling portion. The coupling portion of the valve member is structured to be coupled to the frame portion. The blocking portion is structured to move between a first position and a second position. The valve arrangement further includes a guard member (40) having a coupling portion (48) and a protecting portion (50) extending from the coupling portion of the guard member. The coupling portion of the guard member is structured to be coupled to the frame portion. When the blocking portion of the valve member moves from the first position toward the second position, the blocking portion moves toward the protecting portion of the guard member.

  • Patent number: 10458425
Abstract: Composite fan blade platform includes forward and aft portions and transition portion therebetween. Platform mounting holes extend through increased section thickness in transition portion and conical countersinks centered about centerlines of mounting holes extend into transition portion. Bolts include bolt shanks extending away from boltheads through center bolt holes in conical load spreaders in conical countersink. Boltheads engage conical load spreader. Bolthead is disposed entirely within cylindrical counterbore into top of load spreader and engages shoulder at bottom of cylindrical counterbore. Radial gap between bolthead and cylindrical counterbore surface of cylindrical counterbore may be filled by filler or filler ring. Bolts may join platform supports to disk hooks attached, fixed or joined to, or integral with disk posts of disk. • Publication number: 20190324844
Abstract: Techniques are provided for remote object store error handling. A storage system may store data within one or more tiers of storage, such as a local storage tier (e.g., solid state storage and disks maintained by the storage system), a remote object store (e.g., storage provided by a third party storage provider), and/or other storage tiers. Because the remote object store may not provide the same data consistency and guarantees that the storage system provides for clients such as through the local storage tier, additional validation is provided by the storage system for the remote object store. For example, when data is put into an object of the remote object store, a verification get operation is performed to read and validate information within a header of the object. Other verifications and checks are performed such as using a locally stored metafile to detect corrupt or lost metadata and/or objects.

  • Publication number: 20190322783
Abstract: The current invention provides a novel method to synthesize a mono-disperse non-porous polymer particles with a unique gradient composition from the core to the shell. In particular, The present invention offers the flexibility to design the chemical and physical properties of different sections of the particle. This flexibility allows for significant latitude in the design of particles for analyzing a large variety of samples in different fields—through using these particles in different chromatography techniques including, but not limited to, ion exchange HPLC (e.g., bio-separation at different modes), reversed-phase HPLC, narrow bore and capillary HPLC, hydrophilic/hydrophobic interaction liquid chromatography, capillary electrochromatography separation, and two dimensional liquid chromatography.
