  • Publication number: 20170018103
Abstract: A method for creating a graphical representation of data is performed at an electronic device having one or more processors and memory. The device receives a finite set of data points and calculates a respective conical distribution for each respective data point centered on the respective data point and based on a respective data value. Each conical distribution comprises a set of locations and a unique distribution value corresponding to each location. The device determines that a first data value of a first data point is less than a distribution value for a second data point. The distribution value has a location that corresponds to the first data point. Based on that determination, the device calculates an inverse conical distribution in a region around the first data point. The device combines the conical distributions and inverse conical distributions to display a data visualization that includes each of the data points.

  • Publication number: 20170006154
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for wired communication. A first distribution point uses sets of modems to communicate with a second distribution point over a crosstalk link to exchange information and coordinate the use of multiple sets of frequency bands. In some cases, the first distribution point may share a cable binder with the second distribution point and detect crosstalk on the subscriber lines in the cable binder. Based at least in part on the crosstalk detected by the first distribution point, the first and second distribution points may communicate over a crosstalk link between sets of lines in the binder. The distribution points may use one or more sets of predefined tones within the multiple sets of frequency bands to exchange messages, where the messages may include synchronization information, operating parameters, or control and data information.

  • Publication number: 20160378891
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for real-time prediction of thermal-insights for a heat dissipating device in a data center cooled by one or more cooling units. The method uses a concept of influence mass fractions in conjunction with proper orthogonal decomposition (POD) based reduced order model. It may be understood that, the influence mass fractions may be computed by performing a fixed number of CFD simulations based on mass flow rates of the one or more cooling units. The method further facilitates to identify a set of reference scenarios for a given range of operational parameters of the one or more cooling units impacting the heat dissipating device. The set of reference scenarios may then be provided to the POD in order to predict the thermal-insights of the data center such as a temperature, mass flow rate, and insights into thermal influence of air sources on the heat dissipating device.

  • Publication number: 20160380673
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for wired communication. In one aspect, a distribution point may use a redundant number of digital subscriber line (DSL) lines that share a same cable binder to cancel crosstalk. For example a first distribution point may use a redundant number of lines, which may be virtualized lines, to cancel interference between lines controlled by the first distribution point and lines controlled by a second distribution point. In some cases, a distribution point may share precoding and cancelling coefficients with another distribution point over a cloud network or other service to enable vectoring without sharing transmitted data between the two distribution points. That is, the first distribution point may receive information related to crosstalk between sets of CPEs without receiving data transmitted by a separate distribution point sharing the same cable binder, and use the crosstalk related information to cancel crosstalk.
