  • Patent number: 10507161
Abstract: A back plate for use with a CPR compression device can include first and second static attachment elements configured on first and second sides, respectively, to releasably connect to first and second legs, respectively. In addition, a bottom surface of the back plate can include a plurality of ribs that run from the first side to the second side in parallel to the third and fourth sides. The back plate also includes a hollow portion between the upper and bottom surfaces and the first, second, third, and fourth sides, and the ribs and third and fourth sides provide structural rigidity to the back plate. A plurality of openings along the third and fourth sides may be configured for strapping the back plate to a patient. • Patent number: 10135253
Abstract: A method, system and computer program product enhance the commercial value of electrical power produced from a wind turbine production facility. Features include the use of a premier power conversion device that provides an alternative source of power for supplementing an output power of the wind turbine generation facility when lull periods for wind speed appear. The invention includes a communications infrastructure and coordination mechanism for establishing a relationship with another power production facility such that when excess electrical power is produced by the wind turbine facility, the excess may be provided to the power grid while the other energy production facility cuts back on its output production by a corresponding amount. A tracking mechanism keeps track of the amount of potential energy that was not expended at the other facility and places this amount in a virtual energy storage account, for the benefit of the wind turbine facility.

  • Publication number: 20170304146
Abstract: A mechanism attached to a mechanical CPR device can be automatically attached to the patient's torso. The mechanical CPR device can extend the mechanism to a first position at which the mechanism comes into contact with the patient's torso. The mechanism can be further extended until a first threshold is reached. The mechanism can be retracted to the first position. The mechanism can be further retracted from the first position until a second threshold is exceeded. The mechanism can then be extended to a second point at which the second threshold is no longer exceeded. The mechanism may comprise a suction cup or sticker plate, and may be attached to an end of a piston of the mechanical CPR device.

  • Patent number: 9713568
Abstract: A suction cup on the end of a piston of a mechanical CPR device can be automatically attached to a patient's torso. The mechanical CPR device can extend the piston until a first position at which the suction cup comes into contact with the patient's torso. The piston can be further extended to cause air to be forced out from an area between the suction cup and the patient's torso until a first threshold is reached. The piston can be retracted until the suction cup is at the first position. The piston can be further retracted from the first position until a second threshold is exceeded. The piston can then be extended to a second point at which the second threshold is no longer exceeded.
