  • Patent number: 11051249
Abstract: A method of a network node is disclosed. The method is for concurrently transmitting two or more wake-up signals (WUS) using an signal generator applying an signal generator symbol rate, wherein each WUS is for reception by a wake-up receiver (WUR) of a respective wireless communication device. The method comprises selecting a respective Manchester coding symbol rate for each of the two or more WUS, wherein all of the selected respective Manchester coding symbol rates are different from each other, and wherein all Manchester codes having the selected respective Manchester coding symbol rates are orthogonal to each other. The method also comprises generating each of the two or more WUS using the signal generator and application of a Manchester code of the selected respective Manchester coding symbol rate, and multiplexing the two or more WUS for transmission in a WUS message.

  • Publication number: 20210195611
Abstract: Embodiments include methods for an access point to schedule wireless communication devices. Such methods include performing link adaptation by assigning respective modulation and coding schemes (MCS) for the wireless communication devices. Each assigned MCS is associated with a corresponding power back-off. Such methods include scheduling the wireless communication devices on transmission resources based on assignment of the wireless communications devices into two or more groups. Each group is scheduled on different transmission resources than used to schedule other groups. First wireless communication devices assigned a first MCS and a first power back-off are assigned to a first group. Second wireless communications devices assigned a second MCS and a second power back-off, and that meet a grouping criterion associated with the first power back-off, are assigned to the first group until a maximum size for the first group is reached.

  • Patent number: 11038571
Abstract: A wireless communication node and method therein for generating beamformed signals by means of backscattering in a wireless communication network are disclosed. The wireless communication node receives a radio frequency signal at a plurality A of antennas. Each antenna is coupled to one of a number of impedance matrices by one of a plurality A of switches. The wireless communication node generates a first baseband signal based on data symbols to be transmitted in a baseband signal generator. The states of each switch are controlled based on its specific switch control signal such that each antenna impedance is selected among a number M of impedances, and thereby the received RF signal at each antenna is modulated by the first baseband signal with its specific phase and reflected. The beamformed signals are generated by the plurality A of antennas by reflecting the modulated RF signals from each antenna.

  • Patent number: 11039484
Abstract: A communications device and a method therein for accessing a Resource Unit (RU) are provided. The communications device and an Access Point (AP) are operating in a wireless communications network. When wanting to start an access attempt within a time interval, the communications device selects a counter value from a first range given by zero and a first Contention-Window OFDMA (CWO) value CWO1. Further, when wanting to start an access attempt outside the time interval, the communications device selects the counter value from a second range given by zero and a second CWO value CWO2, wherein the second CWO value CWO2 is larger than the first CWO value CWO1. The communications device performs a contention procedure using the selected counter value, wherein a Resource Unit (RU) is accessed in dependence of the performed contention procedure.

  • Publication number: 20210175918
Abstract: A radio receiver comprises a local oscillator arrangement and a controller. The local oscillator arrangement is arranged to provide a signal for down-conversion of radio frequency signal to an intermediate frequency or a baseband frequency in the radio receiver, and the local oscillator arrangement is capable of selectably providing multiple frequency generation qualities. The controller is arranged to estimate a tolerable frequency generation quality for the current operation of the radio receiver or determine whether the current operation of the radio receiver is satisfactory in sense of a currently provided frequency generation quality, and based on the estimation or determination adjust frequency generation quality of the local oscillator arrangement by selecting one of the multiple frequency generation qualities. A radio arrangement, a method and a computer program are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20210168831
Abstract: An access point is arranged for serving both wideband wireless stations and narrowband wireless stations where the narrowband wireless stations operate on a subset of the bandwidth on which the wideband wireless stations operate. The access point comprises a transceiver and a controller. The controller is arranged to schedule simultaneous usage of a first set of subcarriers for a wideband station and a first narrowband wireless station by causing the transceiver to transmit a first subcarrier suggestion, about the first set of subcarriers to be used, to the first narrowband wireless station and to transmit a modulation and coding scheme, MCS suggestion, about subcarriers including the first set of subcarriers to be used, to the wideband station. The suggested MCS is adapted to have increased robustness in view of any interference on a transmission from the wideband wireless station caused by a transmission from the first narrowband wireless station in the first set of subcarriers.

  • Patent number: 11025463
Abstract: A first network node (NN) and a method therein for generation and transmission of a Binary Phase Shift Keying (BPSK) signal to a second NN. The first and second NNs are operating in a communications network. The first NN generates a third bit stream x(n) from a first bit stream d(n) of data for transmission, wherein each output bit comprised in the third bit stream depends on a transition in bit values between two input bits from the first bit stream. Further, the first NN generates a fourth bit stream y(n) from the third bit stream by expanding the third bit stream by a predetermined factor M. By means of a CPM signal generating module, the first NN generates a BPSK signal based on the fourth bit stream. Furthermore, the first NN transmits the BPSK signal to an OFDM signal receiving module of the second NN.
