  • Patent number: 9164077
Abstract: The present invention discloses a biological detection device and a detecting method. The biological detection device comprises a substrate, an electric field unit, a liquid crystal/polymer composite film (LCPCF), a power supply, a processing unit, and an image sensor. Because of the electrically tunable orientations of the liquid crystal (LC) director anchored among the polymer grains, the wettability of the LCPCF changes with an applied electric field. As a result, we can manipulate a blood droplet on the LCPCF by a wettability gradient owing to the distribution of LC directors on the LCPCF. The motion states of the blood droplet can be related to the various qualities of the blood, and finally determines the health of the test sample. The change of contact angle of blood on LCPCF and the blood droplet motion on LCPCF indicate the concentration of TG and the concentration of HDL.

  • Publication number: 20150229820
Abstract: A method for controlling a flash of an electronic device by detecting an illumination intensity and a color temperature of a current environment from a RGB sensor. When the illumination intensity is lower than a first predetermined value, a pre-flash of the flash is turned on. Control a color temperature of the pre-flash to be equal to the color temperature when the color temperature is lower than a second predetermined value. A distance between a target object and the camera is obtained, adjusting the current of the high color temperature LED and the current of the low color temperature LED simultaneously according to the obtained distance after turning on a main-flash of the flash to capture an image of the target object.

  • Patent number: 8931972
Abstract: A thermal module mount structure including a first mount body and a second mount body. The first mount body defines therein a first passage and has multiple engaging sections inward extending into the first passage. The second mount body is disposed in the first passage and has multiple complementary engaging sections complementary to the engaging sections. Each of the complementary engaging sections has a moving space and multiple engaging splits in communication therewith. The second mount body is vertically displaceable within the first passage, whereby the first and second mount bodies can be relatively rotated to insert the engaging sections into the engaging splits at different heights. Accordingly, the height of the mount structure is changeable by means of adjusting the second mount body in accordance with different heights of radiating fins. Therefore, the mount structure has high commonness so that the cost for developing the molds is reduced.

  • Publication number: 20140374834
Abstract: A germanium (Ge) structure includes a substrate, a Ge layer and at least a Ge spatial structure. The Ge layer is formed on the substrate, and a surface of the Ge layer is a Ge {110} lattice plane. The Ge spatial structure is formed in the Ge layer and includes a top surface and a sidewall surface, wherein the top surface is a Ge {110} lattice plane and the sidewall surface is perpendicular to the top surface. An axis is formed at a junction of the sidewall surface and the top surface, and an extensive direction of the axis is parallel to a Ge [112] lattice vector on the surface of the Ge layer, therefore the sidewall surface is a Ge {111} lattice plane. Because Ge {111} surface channels have very high electron mobility, this Ge spatial structure may be applied for fabricating high-performance Ge semiconductor devices.

  • Patent number: 8801402
Abstract: An air compression device is applied in an air compressor. A rotatable pressure regulating disk and a valve are disposed in a rotor set. When external air enters an air chamber in the rotor set, the air is exhausted after being compressed through rotation of a first rotor and a second rotor. When the two rotors compress the air, a user may control the pressure regulating disk to rotate to advance or postpone exhaust of the air from the valve, so as to change an exhaust pressure in the air chamber to adjust an exhaust volume output by the rotor set. An adjustable air intake disk may further be added, so that timing adjustment can be performed during both air intake and exhaust.
