  • Publication number: 20190362567
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for brokering data exchanges between on-board and off-board systems of a vehicle. One method comprises receiving, at a data broker engine, one or more data requests from an origination system, wherein each of the one or more data requests specifies at least one or more of a request type and a target system. Then the data broker engine determines whether the request type is a one-time transmission, a periodic transmission, an event-triggered transmission, or a change-triggered transmission. Following the determination, the data broker engine retrieves data from the target system based on the determined request type and transmits the data to the origination system.

  • Patent number: 10489535
Abstract: A method for performing a rewind functional verification includes identifying state variables that model a number of registers on each edge of a retiming graph for an original design and a retimed design. Random variables are identified that model retiming labels representing a number and a direction of a register movement relative to a node on a retiming graph for the retimed design. A retiming constraint is identified for each edge on the retiming graph for the retimed design, wherein the retiming constraint reflects a relationship between the state variables and the random variables. A random variable that models a retiming label at a source of an edge is recursively substituted for a random variable that models a retiming label at a sink of the edge when a number of registers on the edge is unchanged after register retiming.

  • Patent number: 10491682
Abstract: A session-specific policy may be used to define specific configuration and operational characteristics of different types of sessions. One type of session may have one set of characteristics while a second type of session may have a different set of characteristics. The policy may be applied by a server or client, and may be propagated through an enterprise by a policy distribution management system to establish policies across multiple devices. Different session types include sessions from a local console, a remote user, a device-initiated session, a service-initiated session, and other types. Within each session type, policies may be defined for specific instances of each type. For example, different policies may be defined for different devices in a device-initiated policy.

  • Patent number: 10489140
Abstract: Particular embodiments provide a system for managing a virtualization environment, the system comprising a plurality of host machines, one or more virtual disks comprising a plurality of storage devices, and a virtualized file server (VFS) comprising a plurality of file server virtual machines (FSVMs), wherein each of the FSVMs is running on one of the host machines and conducts I/O transactions with the one or more virtual disks, and the host machines form a cluster. A health monitoring service may monitor the FSVMs to determine whether any of the FSVMs has failed or is having problems. If the health monitoring service detects a failure of one of the FSVMs on a first one of the host machines, for each resource lock associated with the first FSVM, the health monitoring service may reassign the resource lock to another one of the FSVMs.

  • Publication number: 20190355030
Abstract: Elasticity of a particular product is calculated based on product demand against various price points. Accurate product demand calculations are ensured by calculating the price journey of the product, with appropriate adjustments made for out of stock conditions and promotions and or discounts. The price journey data is then input into an impact estimation algorithm which allows calculation of demand elasticity accounting for various real-world factors impacting demand and elasticity, such as: price of a substitute or compliment, competitor price, weather, local events, calendar events, and other factors. This approach allows for superior price journey-based item-specific elasticity calculation, which allows for superior optimization of item price to maximize volume and profit.
