  • Patent number: 10354038
Abstract: Integrated circuit design computing equipment may perform register moves within a circuit design. When moving the registers, counter values may be maintained for non-justifiable elements. The counter values may be maintained and updated on a per element, per clock domain basis to account for register moves across the corresponding non-justifiable elements. The maximum counter value for each clock domain may be chosen as an adjustment value that is used to generate a sequence for resetting the circuit design. The adjustment value may be bound by a user-specified maximum value. The user-specified maximum value may constrain logic/physical synthesis transforms and local/global retiming operations. If the counter value for a non-justifiable element is equal to the user-specified maximum value, then all future forward retiming across that element is prevented. If the maximum counter value is less than the user-specified maximum value, the user may optionally shorten the reset sequence.

  • Publication number: 20190208318
Abstract: A method and apparatus for auto-directive adaptive beamforming for a microphone array using microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) sensor orientation information are provided. The microphone array captures audio and the MEMS sensor detects an orientation of the microphone array. A direction of arrival of a source signal is estimated based on the data representative of the audio. A change in an orientation of the microphone array is detected based on the orientation and the direction of arrival is compensates based on the change in the orientation of the microphone array. The apparatus pre-steers a beam of a beam pattern of the microphone array based on the compensated direction of arrival to retain the source signal in a broadside of the microphone array and performs adaptive wideband beamforming to null one or more interfering sources in the beam pattern while retaining the source signal in the broadside of the microphone array.

  • Patent number: 10339241
Abstract: Configuration data for an integrated circuit may be generated using logic design equipment to implement a logic design on the integrated circuit. The equipment may perform incremental physical synthesis, timing optimization, and legalization operations on the logic design. The equipment may identify timing and legalization constraints and logic blocks that fail the timing constraints, and may determine whether modifying and/or moving the blocks to new locations satisfy the legalization constraints while improving the timing of the design. If the legalization constraints are not satisfied, the design equipment may recursively move non-critical logic blocks to new locations while ensuring that the legalization and timing constraints are satisfied for each move such that the timing of the design is improved. This may be repeated in multiple rounds of adjustment. A netlist may be generated after the moves are performed. The configuration data may be generated based on the netlist.
