  • Patent number: 10389704
Abstract: Cluster state information is generated in response to a request to establish a connection with a cloud service system. The cluster state information includes a first instance of a security token and host information. The cluster state information is provided to a web browser associated with a user. The web browser associated with the user is redirected to a cloud identity provider. The cloud identity provider is configured to provide to the cloud service system via the web browser associated with the user, the cluster state information that includes the first instance of the security token and the host information. A certificate is requested from the cloud service system. The cluster state information that includes a second instance of the security token is provided to the cloud service system. The cloud service system is configured to establish the connection based on a comparison between the first instance of the security token and the second instance of the security token.

  • Publication number: 20190253013
Abstract: A method and apparatus for quasi-sensorless adaptive control of a high rotor pole switched-reluctance motor (HRSRM). The method comprises the steps of: applying a voltage pulse to an inactive phase winding and measuring current response in each inactive winding. Motor index pulses are used for speed calculation and to establish a time base. Slope of the current is continuously monitored which allows the shaft speed to be updated multiple times and to track any change in speed and fix the dwell angle based on the shaft speed. The apparatus for quasi-sensorless control of a high rotor pole switched-reluctance motor (HRSRM) comprises a switched-reluctance motor having a stator and a rotor, a three-phase inverter controlled by a processor connected to the switched-reluctance motor, a load and a converter.

  • Publication number: 20190251264
Abstract: Technologies for secure native code invocation include a computing device having an operating system and a firmware environment. The operating system executes a firmware method in an operating system context using a virtual machine. In response to invoking the firmware method, the operating system invokes a callback to a bridge driver in the operating system context. In response to the callback, the bridge driver invokes a firmware runtime service in the operating system context. The firmware environment executes a native code handler in the operating system context in response to invoking the firmware runtime service. The native code handler may be executed in a de-privileged container. The firmware method may process results data stored in a firmware mailbox by the native code handler, which may include accessing a hardware resource using a firmware operation region. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

  • Patent number: 10379672
Abstract: A method of dynamically adjusting a sensitivity of sensor electrodes configured for capacitive sensing in a sensing region of an input device. The input device detects a first input in the sensing region, and acquires force information about the first input via one or more force sensors coupled to the sensing region. The input device dynamically adjusts a sensitivity of the sensor electrodes based at least in part on an amplitude and duration of the force. In some aspects, the input device may increase the sensitivity of the sensor electrodes when a force of the first input exceeds a force threshold for at least a first threshold duration. In some other aspects, the input device may restore the sensitivity of the sensor electrodes to a prior configuration when no input is detected in the sensing region for at least a second threshold duration.

  • Publication number: 20190243717
Abstract: A method, a master database node and a subscriber database node for optimizing index. The method for optimizing index includes: checking, by a master database node, if role information of an index matches role information of the master database node, when the index is added into the master database node; updating database information by using the index when the role information of the index matches the role information of the master database node. In this invention, unnecessary indexes in the master database node and the subscriber database node are reduced while keeping the schema the same. Furthermore, unnecessary logs transmitted from the master database node to the subscriber database node are reduced.

  • Patent number: 10373136
Abstract: An image of a check may be presented for payment in a banking system in place of the physical paper check. The check to be deposited can be collected from a depositor using a scanner. A web site, accessed through a depositor's web browser, can be used to drive the process of collecting the check, but in some contexts (e.g., in less popular computing environments, such as those that do not run the most popular operating systems), it is economically infeasible to obtain the certificates that would be used to allow a program executing in the web browser to control the scanner. Thus, a depositor can be instructed to capture and upload images of the check in the form of files, where the image files are then presented for payment through a banking system.

  • Patent number: 10372850
Abstract: Circuit design computing equipment may perform register moves within a circuit design. When moving the registers, counter values may be maintained for non-justifiable elements. The counter values may be maintained and updated on a per element, per clock domain basis to account for register moves across the corresponding non-justifiable elements. The maximum counter value for each clock domain may be chosen as an adjustment value that is used to generate a sequence for resetting the modified circuit design after the register moves. The adjustment value may be bound by a user-specified maximum value. This retiming operation may also be verified by performing rewind verification. The rewind verification involves retiming the retimed circuit back to the original circuit, while respecting the counter values. If verification succeeds, the circuit design may be reset using a smaller adjustment value. If verification fails, a correct counter value may be suggested for each clock domain.
