Abstract: Auditing of mortgage documents is faster and simpler. An electronic mortgage application often contains or references a collection of many separate electronic mortgage documents. Electronic data representing an original version of an electronic mortgage document and its current version may be hashed to generate digital signatures. Any auditor may then quickly compare the digital signatures. If the digital signatures match, then the audit reveals that the electronic mortgage document has not changed since its creation. However, if the digital signatures do not match, then the electronic mortgage document has changed since its creation. The auditor may thus flag the electronic mortgage document for additional auditing processes.

  • Publication number: 20180275919
Abstract: Some examples relate to prefetching data in a distributed storage system. In an example, a first storage node may receive I/O requests sent by a host system, for sequential data of a storage volume distributed across a plurality of storage nodes. The first storage node may determine whether the host system is aware or unaware of layout information of the storage volume. If the host system is unware, the first storage node may prefetch the sequential data of the storage volume from other nodes of the plurality of storage nodes. If the host system is aware, the first storage node may indicate to a second storage node that the I/O requests by the host system are for the sequential data of the storage volume.

  • Publication number: 20180273159
Abstract: Aircraft wings have an interior volume that incorporates a space frame as a primary supporting structure of the wing, and enables securement of an aircraft fuselage to the wing. The space frame includes carbon fiber rods arranged to handle tensile and compression loads otherwise carried by conventional wing spars, ribs, and stringers normally connected to heavy structural metal wing box joints at the sides of a fuselage for attachment of left and right wings. The space frame also includes sleeve and shaft connectors secured to the carbon fiber rods, the connectors arranged in truss-like configurations for preventing buckling of the carbon fiber rods. The space frame may be designed to extend at least midspan between wings, so that traditional wing box joints on a fuselage can be eliminated. Finally, wing skin panels secured to the space frame can be designed to support only aerodynamic loads of flight.

  • Patent number: 10080867
Abstract: A catheter assembly includes a catheter hub defining an interior cavity and a catheter tube extending distally thereof. A rigid actuator is positioned to extend proximally in the interior cavity and support a seal member positioned thereon in the interior cavity. The seal member includes a central membrane, a distal portion, and a proximal portion. An hourglass shaped actuator cavity is formed in the distal portion and receives a barbed end of the actuator. The outer surface of the seal member is in partial circumferential engagement with the catheter hub to define an air path that allows fluid communication between areas of the interior cavity distal and proximal of the seal member. The seal member may be configured for multi-use and include a biasing member that moves the seal member to force the membrane back over the actuator to close the membrane.

  • Publication number: 20180264117
Abstract: Pharmaceutical compositions and dosage forms for administration of hydrophobic drugs are provided. The pharmaceutical compositions include a therapeutically effective amount of a hydrophobic drug, preferably a steroid; a solubilizer, and a surfactant. The synergistic effect between the hydrophobic drug and the solubilizer results in a pharmaceutical formulation with improved dispersion of both the active agent and the solubilizer. As a result of the improved dispersion, the pharamaceutical composition has improved bioavailability upon administration. Methods of improving the bioavailability of hydrophobic drugs administered to a patient are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20180269089
Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure relate to methods for measuring temperature and a tool for calibrating temperature control of a substrate support in a processing chamber without contact with a surface of the substrate support. In one embodiment, a test fixture with a temperature sensor is removably mounted to an upper surface of a chamber body of the processing chamber such that the temperature sensor has a field of view including an area of the substrate support that is adjacent to a resistive coil disposed in the substrate support. One or more calibration temperature measurements of the area of the substrate support are taken by the temperature sensor and simultaneously one or more calibration resistance measurements of the resistive coil are taken corresponding to each calibration temperature measurement. Temperature control of a heating element disposed in the substrate support is calibrated based on the calibration temperature and calibration resistance measurements.

  • Publication number: 20180270422
Abstract: A method and system for detection of contaminants present on a lens of an imaging device is disclosed. An input image received from an imaging device is split into a plurality of patches of predefined size and a kurtosis value calculated for each and compared with a median kurtosis value. Patches having kurtosis value less than the median kurtosis value are selected. Based on comparison of a first maximum likelihood of the selected patches with a predefined threshold, one or more selected patches are stored. Such patches are split into a top and a bottom portion for processing based on discrete wavelet transform and singular value decomposition, respectively. The top and the bottom portion are merged patches for which a second maximum likelihood is greater than a second predefined threshold, are stored. Further, contaminants in the image are classified into predefined categories based on one or more image features.

  • Publication number: 20180267986
Abstract: The systems described herein are configured to enhance the efficiency of memory usage and access in a VM file system data store with respect to allocating memory in large and small file block clusters using affinity metadata and propagating and maintaining the affinity metadata in support of the described allocation. During storage of file data, an affinity identifier of the file data is determined. The affinity identifier is used to identify a large file block cluster and a small file block cluster within the identified large file block cluster. The file data is stored in the selected small file block cluster and affinity metadata of the selected small file block cluster is updated to reflect the storage of the file data.

  • Publication number: 20180270250
Abstract: Access to a secure resource is controlled. Data relating to social media history information, demographic information, and psychometric information regarding a user having access to a secure resource is mined by a computer system. Mined data that indicates a potential security risk that meets a predefined security criteria with respect to the secure resource is identified by the computer system. A security risk level based on the identified data is determined. A level of access to the secure resource by the user computing device is set, based on one or more predetermined threshold values that are met, in response to a determination regarding such. Access is granted to the secure resource in accordance with the set level of access, in response to receiving a request to access the secure resource by the computer system.

  • Publication number: 20180267894
Abstract: The systems described herein are configured to enhance the efficiency of memory in a host file system with respect to hosted virtual file systems. In situations when the hosted virtual file systems use smaller file block sizes than the file block sizes of the host file system. During storage of a file, a file block is assigned a block address and unmapping bits. The block address and unmapping bits are stored in a pointer block or other similar data structure associated with the file. Particularly, the block address is stored in a first address block and the unmapping bits are stored in at least one additional address block located in proximity to the block address, such that the unmap granularity of the file is not limited by the fixed size of address blocks in the system.

In order to maintain affinity metadata of the large file block cluster, affinity generation values stored on the large file block cluster are read and cached affinity generation values for each small file block cluster are read from an in-memory cache associated with the large file block cluster. When the stored affinity generation values and the cached affinity generation values do not match, affinity metadata from all the small file block clusters associated with the large file block cluster is used to update the affinity metadata of the large file block cluster and the associated cache.
