  • Publication number: 20180202660
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method and apparatus to mitigate thermo-acoustic instabilities in combustor of gas turbine engines using a lean premixed flame; and provides a dynamic control strategy for mitigating thermo-acoustic instability in a swirl stabilized, lean premixed combustor by rotating the otherwise static swirler meant for stabilizing the lean premixed flame. The swirler is subjected to a controlled rotation for imparting increased turbulence intensity and higher tangential momentum to the premixed reactants towards mitigating thermo-acoustic instability. The rotating swirler induces vortex breakdown and increased turbulence intensity to decimate periodic interactions found during a particular phase of the instability cycle on account of periodic collision of diverging flame base with the flame segment above the dump plane in the combustor.

  • Patent number: 10019323
Abstract: A computer-implemented method is disclosed. The method starts with determining a first container of a storage system is invalid. The method continues with the storage system setting a data recovery state for the first container to be en-queue, which indicates that data of at least one of the data segments needs to be recovered from the first container, and executing a process to recover any container having an en-queue data recovery state, and for each of the containers, to recover any valid data segment from the corresponding container. The process includes scanning the data segments of the first container to find valid data segments, moving or replicating the valid data segments to a second container, and setting the data recovery state for the first container to be complete once all the valid data segments are moved or replicated to the second container.

  • Publication number: 20180189809
Abstract: A method and system for account level triggers are described. An automation management system aggregates marketing-relevant activities performed by potential customers across a variety of marketing channels. The leads are matched to marketing accounts, and alerts are sent to account managers when customized trigger conditions are met, generally indicating that a time-sensitive marketing opportunity exists or that recent marketing efforts are having no effect. Triggers can be created based on a weighted account score compiled from multiple marketing dimensions. Triggers can be set to notify account managers when the account score changes more than some programmed thresholds for value and time.
