  • Patent number: 9703890
Abstract: The current document is directed to methods and systems that determine whether or not two graph-like representations of two physically or temporally distinct computer systems or computer-system configurations are equivalent. The currently described methods and systems extract a first and second ordered set of subgraphs from each of a first and second graph-like representation of a first and a second computer system. The ordered sets of subgraphs are logically aligned, forming a set of subgraph pairs. The currently described methods and systems transform the first and second subgraph of each subgraph pair into a corresponding first and second set of trees, label the trees, and then compare labels at each level of the trees to determine whether or not an isomorphic tree can be found in the second set of trees for each tree in the first set of trees.

  • Patent number: 9704486
Abstract: Power consumption for a computing device may be managed by one or more keywords. For example, if an audio input obtained by the computing device includes a keyword, a network interface module and/or an application processing module of the computing device may be activated. The audio input may then be transmitted via the network interface module to a remote computing device, such as a speech recognition server. Alternately, the computing device may be provided with a speech recognition engine configured to process the audio input for on-device speech recognition.

  • Patent number: 9705633
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed towards a method for scheduling data packets in a multi-channel packet processing environment. The method may include receiving one or more data packets associated with an incoming signal and inserting the one or more data packets into a queue. The method may further include monitoring a time delay associated with each of the one or more data packets, wherein the time delay indicates a difference between packet arrival and packet departure times. The method may also include sorting the time delay results based upon an increasing order of time delay and determining a total number of data packets associated with each of a plurality of channels. The method may also include scheduling a data packet for processing based upon, at least in part, at least one of the sorted time delay results and the total number of data packets associated with each channel.

  • Patent number: 9704628
Abstract: A water based double surfacted ferrofluid having magnetite nanoparticles (2-18 nm) coated with primary and secondary surfactants is synthesized. On the other hand, an aqueous dispersion of functionalized MWCNT (diameter=14-18 ?m, length=1.6-2.5 ?m) is prepared by acid treatment. A hybrid solutions in different v/v ratios yielded stable dispersions having both nanoparticles and nanotubes in itself behave as one system. The synthesized hybrid fluid show magnetic response and self-sustained homogeneity of in presence of magnetic field. In addition, the hybrid fluids exhibits a long term sedimentation and magnetic stability which enables one to use them for various applications like MRI, EMI shielding, energy conversion etc.

  • Patent number: 9699619
Abstract: An improved method of tracking an object of interest. The tracking that is enabled by the disclosed tracking engine is based on location estimation of a wireless terminal combined with aerial or satellite imagery of an object of interest, in which a relationship has been determined to exist between the wireless terminal and the object of interest. In some tracking scenarios, a wireless telecommunications network can be used to direct an image-based surveillance system where to start observing, as an object of interest heads away from a heavily populated area or other area with satisfactory wireless coverage. In some other tracking scenarios, the trajectory of the object as derived from the image data enables the tracking engine to target a specific portion of the wireless network to utilize in generating the location estimates, thereby reducing the resource utilization of the wireless network and tracking engine.

  • Publication number: 20170185863
Abstract: Various embodiments provide an optimized image filter. The optimized image and video obtains an input image and selects a target pixel for modification. Difference values are then determined between the selected target pixel and each reference pixel of a search area. Subsequently, a weighting function is used to determine weight values for each of the reference pixels of the search area based on their respective difference value. The selected target pixel is then modified by the optimized image filter using the determined weight values. A new target pixel in an apply patch is then selected for modification. The new target pixel is modified using the previously determined weight values reassigned to a new set of reference pixels. The previously determined weight values are reassigned to the new set of reference pixels based on each of the new set of reference pixels' position relative to the new target pixel.

  • Publication number: 20170185993
Abstract: A user interface of an automated teller machine receives a first input that identifies a transaction type. Next, a near field communication reader of the ATM detects a first near field communication message from a first mobile device so that the automated teller machine can extract a first account identification information from that message. The first account identification information comprises data related to a first account associated with a first user. A second NFC message from a second mobile device associated with a second user is detected in order to extract a second account identification information from the second NFC message. The second account identification information comprises data related to a second account associated with the second user. Once the ATM has the needed information, it can initiate a transaction based on the transaction type, the first account identification information, and the second account identification information.

  • Publication number: 20170186008
Abstract: A restriction request message, including a restriction for a secondary account, is received by a computer server from a user device via a network node that is outside of a secure authorization network. An authorization request message, including an identifier of the secondary account and a secondary password provided by a terminal that is communicatively coupled to a node of the authorization network, is received by the computer server via the authorization network. The secondary account is identified as being associated with a primary account based on the identifier included in the authorization request message. Authentication for a transaction between the terminal and the primary account is performed by the computer server based on the secondary password. An authorization response message for the transaction between the terminal and the primary account, based on the restriction for the secondary account, is transmitted from the computer server via the authorization network.

  • Publication number: 20170184776
Abstract: Emissive micro-pixel spatial light modulators with non-telecentric emission are introduced. The individual light emission from each multi-color micro-scale emissive pixel is directionally modulated in a unique direction to enable application-specific non-telecentric emission pattern from the micro-pixel array of the emissive spatial light modulator. Design methods for directionally modulating the light emission of the individual micro-pixels using micro-pixel level optics are described. Monolithic wafer level optics methods for fabricating the micro-pixel level optics are also described. An emissive multi-color micro-pixel spatial light modulator with non-telecentric emission is used to exemplify the methods and possible applications of the present invention: ultra-compact image projector, minimal cross-talk 3D light field display, multi-view 2D display, and directionally modulated waveguide optics for see-through near-eye displays.

  • Publication number: 20170185847
Abstract: Video analytics is used to track an object of interest represented in video data representing the field of view of a scene observed by a video camera. A multidimensional virtual beam is used to detect whether the tracked object of interest is continually present in a detection zone within the field view of the scene. An occurrence of an event is signaled when the tracked object of interest is continually present in the detection zone during a period beginning when the tracked object of interest enters the detection zone and ending when the tracked object of interest leaves the detection zone through the opposite side, after having completely crossed through the detection zone. Use of a virtual beam detection zone reduces false alarms as compared to the numbers of incidences of false alarms of traditional detection methods, while adding several features and benefits.
