  • Publication number: 20170126651
Abstract: Methods, systems, and non-transitory computer readable media are correction of geographic inconsistency in item properties. A system identifies locations of interest based on a location of a mobile device and acquires item-descriptive and item-property data associated with an item at the location of interest. The system connects to a secure network to identify a corresponding item and retrieve corresponding item-property data associated with the corresponding item from a secure item database server. The system determines a difference between the corresponding item-property data and the item-property data and updates the secure item database server based on the difference.

  • Patent number: 9639147
Abstract: Techniques are provided for generating a heads-up-display to assist users during performance of media manipulation operations. According to one embodiment, a transient heads-up-display is displayed during a media manipulation operation to assist the user in the media manipulation operation. The heads-up-display may, for example, depict three frames of a video clip when an audio clip is being positioned, on a timeline, relative to the video clip. The three frames that are depicted in the heads-up-display may be the frames located at the current starting position, cursor position, and ending position, of the audio clip. As the audio clip is being moved during the positioning operation, the three frames depicted in the heads-up-display change accordingly.

  • Publication number: 20170116252
Abstract: Techniques related to query execution against an in-memory standby database are disclosed. A first database includes PF data stored on persistent storage in a persistent format. The first database is accessible to a first database server that converts the PF data to a mirror format to produce MF data that is stored within volatile memory. The first database server receives, from a second database server, one or more change records indicating one or more transactions performed against a second database. The one or more change records are applied to the PF data, and a reference timestamp is advanced from a first to a second timestamp. The first database server invalidates any MF data that is changed by a subset of the one or more transactions that committed between the first and second timestamps.

  • Publication number: 20170118120
Abstract: An appliance for controlling data transmission is described. The appliance includes a packet engine configured to acquire data regarding a flow of first data packets over a link and to determine transport communication protocol (TCP) characteristics for the flow. The appliance also includes a data transmission controller configured to receive second data packets, determine a rate of transmission based on the TCP characteristics, and determine, based on one or more criteria, whether to use a rate-based data transmission control to control a transmission of the second data packets. The data transmission controller is also configured to, responsive to determining that a rate-based data transmission control is to be used to control a transmission of the second data packets, cause the packet engine to transmit the second data packets in groups, wherein transmission times of each group of second data packets are determined based on the rate of transmission.

  • Patent number: 9634927
Abstract: A hierarchical lookup forwarding model to induce a Layer (L2) forwarding look up in a post-routed virtual local area network (VLAN). In one example, a line card of a networking device receives a packet for routing from a first virtual local VLAN to a second VLAN. The line card determines that the packet is associated with a host route having a corresponding incomplete Layer 3 (L3) adjacency. The line card steers the packet to a fabric module of the networking device. The fabric module performs an L2 lookup on the packet and floods the packet to one or more of line cards of the networking devices. The one or more line cards flood the packet on a plurality of external ports of the networking device.

  • Publication number: 20170111512
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide an apparatus and techniques for wireless communication by a user equipment (UE), such as placing a video telephony (VT) call when a user equipment (UE) is camped on a non-Internet Protocol Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) network, such as a non-IMS Long Term Evolution (LTE) network. The UE may be in a coverage area of a first radio access technology (RAT) supported by a first standard, and in a coverage area of a second RAT supported by a second standard. The UE may determine the LTE network does not support IMS services. In response to the determination, the UE may take one or more actions to place a VT call using the second RAT which supports IMS services.
