  • Publication number: 20150249603
Abstract: A circuit operates to manage transmittal of packets in a network packet processor. The circuit includes a packet descriptor manager (PDM), a packet scheduling engine (PSE), and a packet engines and buffering module (PEB). The PDM generates a metapacket and a descriptor from a command signal, where the command signal identifies a packet to be transmitted by the circuit. The PSE determines an order in which to transmit the packet among a number of packets, where the PSE determines the order based on information indicated in the metapacket. Once the packet is scheduled for transmission, the PEB performs processing operations on the packet to produce a processed packet based on instructions indicated in the descriptor. The PEB then causes the processed packet to be transmitted toward the destination.

  • Publication number: 20150249643
Abstract: An approach for regional firewall clustering for optimal state-sharing of different sites in a virtualized/networked (e.g., cloud) computing environment is provided. In a typical embodiment, each firewall in a given region is informed of its peer firewalls via a registration process with a centralized server. Each firewall opens up an Internet protocol (IP)-based communication channel to each of its peers in the region to share state table information. This allows for asymmetrical firewall flows through the network and allows routing protocols to ascertain the best path to a given destination without having to take firewall placement into consideration.

  • Patent number: 9123135
Abstract: A mobile device tracks a relative pose between a camera and a target using Vision aided Inertial Navigation System (VINS), that includes a contribution from inertial sensor measurements and a contribution from vision based measurements. When the mobile device detects movement of the target, the contribution from the inertial sensor measurements to track the relative pose between the camera and the target is reduced or eliminated. Movement of the target may be detected by comparing vision only measurements from captured images and inertia based measurements to determine if a discrepancy exists indicating that the target has moved. Additionally or alternatively, movement of the target may be detected using projections of feature vectors extracted from captured images.

  • Patent number: 9122780
Abstract: Embodiments of apparatus, computer-implemented methods, systems, devices, and computer-readable media are described herein for tracking per-virtual machine (“VM”) resource usage independent of a virtual machine monitor (“VMM”). In various embodiments, a first logic unit may associate one or more virtual central processing units (“vCPUs”) operated by one or more physical processing units of a computing device with a first VM of a plurality of VMs operated by the computing device, and collect data about resources used by the one or more physical processing units to operate the one or more vCPUs associated with the first VM. In various embodiments, a second logic unit of the computing device may determine resource-usage by the first VM based on the collected data. In various embodiments, the first and second logic units may perform these functions independent of a VMM of the computing device.

Abstract: A method, non-transitory computer readable medium and network analyzer device that generates a relationship health score for a plurality of entities based on relationship utility scores and relationship strength scores generated for each pair of one of a plurality of connects and one of a plurality of connectors having a relationship. Next, connect dependence scores are generated for each of the connects. A total monetary value of the network is then generated based on a potential monetary value of the network and a realized monetary value of the network. The potential and realized monetary values are respectively generated based on potential and executed interactions between the connectors and the connects. A total value of the network is then generated based on the relationship health scores, the connect dependence scores, and the total monetary value of the network. The total value of the network is output to an information consumer device.

  • Patent number: 9116001
Abstract: A mobile device compensates for a lack of a time stamp when an image frame is captured by estimating the frame time stamp latency. The mobile device captures images frames and time stamps each frame after the frame time stamp latency. A vision based rotation is determined from a pair of frames. A plurality of inertia based rotations is measured using time stamped signals from an inertial sensor in the mobile device based on different possible delays between time stamping each frame and time stamps on the signals from the inertial sensors. The determined rotations may be about the camera's optical axis. The vision based rotation is compared to the plurality of inertia based rotations to determine an estimated frame time stamp latency, which is used to correct the frame time stamp latency when time stamping subsequently captured frames. A median latency determined using different frame pairs may be used.
