Patent number: 4709074Abstract: The novel urethanes correspond to the formula I below ##STR1## in which a denotes a number from 5 to 17 and b denotes a number from 1 to 7. These urethanes are prepared by reacting the corresponding perfluoroalkylethanol/epichlorohydrin adducts with toluelene diisocyanates. The novel aqueous dispersions are essentially composed of the novel urethanes, cationic or betaine emulsifiers and non-ionic emulsifiers, water-insoluble carboxylic and/or dicarboxylic acid esters and alkanediols or polyalkanediols which can be etherified on one or both sides, in water. The novel urethanes and the novel aqueous dispersions are used to impart an oleophobic and hydrophobic finish to textiles, leather and furs. They are also suitable for the treatment of unpainted timber, for example unpainted furniture.Type: GrantFiled: August 28, 1986Date of Patent: November 24, 1987Assignee: Hoechst AktiengesellschaftInventors: Heinrich Bathelt, Winfried Ehrl, Frank Wehowsky, Rolf Kleber, Werner Lotz, Wolfgang Glenz, Hubert Herdt, Lothar Jackel, Jan-Hilbert Mast, Karl Hintermeier, Manfred Muller

Patent number: 4672672Abstract: The housing is essentially spherically shaped, formed with a flattened end wall (14), through which a sound receiving opening (42) extends in axial direction, located eccentrically with respect to the spherical housing. A volume control button (50) covers the sound receiving opening, the volume control button being maintained by a small distance (h) spaced from the spherical end wall to permit entry of sound to the sound receiving opening, while preventing masking of the sound receiving opening by the finger of a user, and free entry of contamination thereto. Preferably, the button is connected to the volume control element by an inwardly extending collar (52) which snaps over an adjustment rim (35) on a volume control positioned axially centrally on a printed circuit board (31) secured within the housing and passing through a central opening (47) formed therein.Type: GrantFiled: February 18, 1986Date of Patent: June 9, 1987Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbHInventors: Albert Eggert, Jurgen Montag, Manfred Muller, Peter Wiener

Patent number: 4599686Abstract: A pulse-inverter, especially a transistor inverter, is required to generate a system of polyphase output voltages as symmetrical as possible, having, for instance, trapezoidal waveforms. For this purpose, several reference voltages having different waveforms are generated wherein each section of an output voltage coincides with a section of a reference voltage. These reference voltages are pulse-width-modulated with a high-frequency sampling frequency and an inverted sampling frequency to form pulse width modulated reference voltages and pulse width modulated inverted reference voltages, respectively. The pulse-width-modulated reference voltages and pulse width modulated inverted reference voltages are coupled to the control lines of the inverter switches so as to generate, section by section, the output voltages having the reference waveform.Type: GrantFiled: August 30, 1984Date of Patent: July 8, 1986Assignee: Siemens AktiengesellschaftInventors: Manfred Muller, Karl Klausecker

Patent number: 4394627Abstract: To provide for tuning of an oscillator circuit, a plurality of resistors are selectively connectable in the circuit. To provide for reproducible, accurate oscillation frequency in accordance with switching of a respective resistor in dependence on a digital input signal, electronic switches are respectively connected to the resistors to connect them in circuit in the oscillator to thereby eliminate variable contact resistances of mechanical switches. A digital frequency control signal is generated by placing a movable mask or pattern with openings therein between an array, for example a linear strip of light emitting diodes, and a similar strip of photo transistors, the respective energization of which is determined by openings in the diaphragm. The signals from the photo transistors are stored in a memory, typically a group of flip-flops, for application to the electronic switches controlling connection of the respective resistors in the oscillator circuit.Type: GrantFiled: February 23, 1981Date of Patent: July 19, 1983Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbHInventors: Gerd-Wolfgang Gotze, Manfred Muller

Patent number: 4392277Abstract: A lock tongue for safety belts with a belt strap of the safety belt being adapted to pass through the lock tongue and be firmly attached to the belt strap so as to be safe against displacement at a certain location of the belt strap due to a loop-around friction occuring under load. The attachment is effected by repeated deflection of the belt strap by means of a component separate from the lock tab or tongue cooperating with the later. The lock tab or tongue includes two passage openings which are separated from each other by a central web, with the passage openings being adapted to accommodate the belt strap. A clamping bracket may be attached, preferably in a releasable fashion, into one of the passage openings.Type: GrantFiled: June 8, 1981Date of Patent: July 12, 1983Assignee: Daimler-Benz AktiengesellschaftInventor: Manfred Muller

Patent number: 4365286Abstract: A power line control circuit receives audio-frequency signals from a pulsed inverter that is transformer-coupled to the power line. A filter circuit is connected between the inverter and the coupling transformer primary circuit to transmit the audio signals and prevent power line frequencies from reaching the inverter. A magnitude-measuring circuit determines when output current from the inverter exceeds a certain value and controls an intervening circuit to reverse, briefly, the state of conductivity of the inverter.Type: GrantFiled: March 3, 1981Date of Patent: December 21, 1982Assignee: Siemens AktiengesellschaftInventors: Karl Klausecker, Manfred Muller
