  • Publication number: 20160085182
Abstract: A digital-printing substrate and method of improving adhesion of a substrate to an liquid electrophotographic (LEP) ink in LEP printing both employ a composite coating. The composite coating includes from 4.5% to 9.5% by weight of a mineral pigment and from 0.5% to 2% by weight of an organic binder uniformly dispersed in water. The mineral pigment has a particle size less than 1 micron. The organic binder comprises a hydroxylated polymer having an average molecular weight greater than 50,000. A weight percentage of hydroxyl groups in the hydroxylated polymer is equal to or greater than a weight percentage of acidic groups in an LEP ink. The composite coating enhances adhesion of the LEP ink to the substrate comprising the composite coating dried on a surface of the substrate.

  • Patent number: 9244959
Abstract: Database operation records are sequentially read from two or more log files. If the transaction identifier is new and the record is not an end-of-transaction record, an open transactions list entry is created. If the transaction identifier is new and the record is an end-of-transaction record, a transaction type list entry is created or updated. If the transaction identifier is not new and is not an end-of-transaction record, an open transactions list entry is updated. If the transaction identifier is not new and the record is an end-of-transaction record, a transaction type list entry is created or updated. When all log file records are read, analytical comparison between the information associated with two or more of the log files in data fields in the transaction type list entries is performed.

  • Patent number: 9235379
Abstract: A system and associated method for generating a Service Component Architecture (SCA) module with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) model elements. A service model is created according to a process model that has activities and a process flow. Services of the service model are respectively associated with the activities. Each service is determined to employ only one service operation definition to render a message specification of a respective activity that is associated with each service. The activities, the process flow, and the message specification are utilized to produce the SCA module in executable implementations.

  • Patent number: 9235520
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention describe a cache coherency protocol that eliminates the need for ordering between message classes and also eliminates home tracker preallocation. Embodiments of the invention describe a less complex conflict detection and resolution mechanism (at the home agent) without any performance degradation in form of bandwidth or latency compared to prior art solutions. Embodiments of the invention describe a home agent that may receive request messages, e.g., data ownership request messages and data request messages, which include issuance data indicating an order of the respective message issued. Said home agent may determine whether an early or late conflict exists based, at least in part, on a received conflict response message and the issuance data of a most recent completed transaction.

  • Publication number: 20150379033
Abstract: Identifying matching transactions between two log files. First and second log files contain operation records of transactions in a transaction workload. The first and second log files are split into first and second corresponding partition files, based on distinct sequences of operation record types beginning operation records of the transactions in each of the log files. A record location in a first partition file, and a window of sequential record locations in a corresponding second partition file at a defined offset relative to the record location in the first file are advanced one record location at a time. If each operation record of a complete transaction at a record location in a first file has a matching record in the associated window of record locations in a second file, the corresponding transactions match.

  • Patent number: 9170946
Abstract: Responsive to receiving a write request for a cache line from an input/output device, a caching agent of a first processor determines that the cache line is managed by a home agent of a second processor. The caching agent sends an ownership request for the cache line to the second processor. A home agent of the second processor receives the ownership request, generates an entry in a directory cache for the cache line, the entry identifying the remote caching agent as having ownership of the cache line, and grants ownership of the cache line to the remote caching agent. Responsive to receiving the grant of ownership for the cache line from the home agent an input/output controller of the first processor adds an entry for the cache line to an input/output write cache, the entry comprising a first indicator that the cache line is managed by the home agent of the second processor.
