  • Patent number: 11284879
Abstract: A tissue repair apparatus includes a housing, a rotatable shaft at least partially disposed within the housing, and first and second curved needles coupled to the shaft. The housing defines a gap between a first edge of the housing and a second edge of the housing, the gap adapted to receive tissue. The first and second needles curved needles being articulable within the housing from a delivery position, at which the first and second needles are spaced from the gap, to a deployed position, at which the first and second needles extend through the gap. Actuation of the shaft simultaneously articulates the first and second needles and the first needle enters the gap before the second needle enters the gap.

  • Publication number: 20220091749
Abstract: One or more techniques and/or computing devices are provided for resilient replication of storage operations. For example, a first storage controller may host first storage having a replication relationship with second storage hosted by a second storage controller. To improve resiliency against transient network issues of a network between the storage controllers, the first storage controller may implement a queue and retry mechanism to retry replication operations not acknowledge back by the second storage controller within a threshold time. The second storage controller may maintain a cumulative sequence number of a latest replication operation performed in order, an operation response map of replication operations performed out of order, and an operation finder map identifying currently implemented replication operations, which may be used to process incoming replication operations. Single write semantics, write order consistency, and reduction of write amplification may be provided.

  • Publication number: 20220089983
Abstract: Bio-based surfactants have great opportunity for use in a variety of applications such as laundry detergents, industrial cleaners, adjuvants, and oil & gas. Surfactants in these applications can be nonionic, anionic, cationic, or amphoteric. Utilizing high oleic soybean oil as a platform chemical, a variety of surfactants and properties can be produced. While early work focused solely on surfactant use in laundry cleaning and fracking, recent work has expanded functional groups and application evaluations in hard surface cleaning. The current invention expands on Battelle's high oleic soybean oil (HOSO) surfactant technology. Use of HOSO overcomes the limitations of regular soybean oil and significantly reduces or eliminates undesirable byproducts in most chemistries. However, with use of select reagents, a few candidates were achievable with regular epoxidized soybean oil (ESO).

  • Publication number: 20220078642
Abstract: In a fronthaul network system, when a CPRI link fault is detected at either of the REC or RE, both the REC and RE perform a Layer 1 synchronization. The fault may be a loss of signal, loss of frame, or a line code violation, which also translates to a loss of signal if seen beyond a threshold. A proxy slave recognizes the fault in a CPRI signal from a first radio device and inserts the fault alarm into a header of a radio over Ethernet frame. The proxy slave continues to communicate the signal for a configured number of hyper-frames. A proxy master receives the signal and communicates the signal and the fault alarm to a receiving radio device for a configured number of hyper-frames. The proxy and radio devices all perform a joint resynchronization.

  • Patent number: 11263173
Abstract: Certain embodiments disclosed herein reduce or eliminate a communication bottleneck at the storage manager by reducing communication with the storage manager while maintaining functionality of an information management system. In some implementations, operations performed as part of a backup process may be stored in transaction logs. These transaction logs may include information about a transaction performed between the client computing system and the network storage that hosts the backup of the client computing system. The transaction logs may be provided to a secondary storage system that can be used to form a backup index. The backup index may be used to facilitate accessing the data stored at the network storage. Advantageously, generating the transaction logs and separating the generation of the backup index from the backup process can reduce resource usage during performance of the backup and speed up the backup process while further reducing interaction with the storage manager.
