  • Patent number: 6488792
Abstract: A cementitious panel comprising a cementitious core which is fabric-reinforced at the surface thereof and whose longitudinal edges are reinforced by a network of fibers. A panel may be obtained wherein the surface edge reinforcement layers are relatively strong and hard such that a nail or screw may be driven through the edge of panel without pre-drilling and without breaking, even when nailed or screwed almost at the very limit of the edge of the panel. Such a panel may provide a long lasting substrate for humid or wet areas such as shower rooms and bath rooms.

  • Publication number: 20020138838
Abstract: The invention relates to a PVR system (100) making choices to store or remove certain programs in or from a memory (102) in order to create space for new programs to be stored in the memory. The choices are arranged in a list (201) of programs to be stored and a list (211) of programs to be erased from the memory. After these lists have been generated by the system (100), they are presented to the user for the purpose of confirmation and possible modifications. In this way, the user is aware of the choices made by the system and the method according to the invention enables him to confirm multiple choices by the system in one action. An operating device (104) is provided with a key (301) which is specifically intended to confirm choices made by the system (100).

  • Publication number: 20020091036
Abstract: A vehicle transmission, for example a CVT transmission, is provided with a decoupling device between an engine output shaft and a vehicle driveline. The decoupling device in one embodiment includes a clutch assembly which is fixed to a shaft coupled to the transmission output and engageable with a driveline through a piston arrangement. The piston can be urged against the force of a spring by fluid pressure to cause engagement of the clutches of the clutch assembly and thereby to couple engine torque to the vehicle driveline. When fluid pressure is released, the spring urges the piston to a position in which the clutches of the clutch assembly are disengaged, so as to disengage the engine output from the vehicle driveline. In the disengaged state, the vehicle can be towed.
