  • Patent number: 9486992
Abstract: A printing press is provided. The printing press includes a print unit printing a stream of printed products having a first pitch, a pitch changing device and a controller. The pitch changing device includes an upper roller mounted on an upper axle, a lower roller mounted on a lower axle, the upper and lower rollers forming a roller nip and at least one motor driving the upper and lower rollers in opposite directions. The roller nip receives the stream of printed products. The controller is connected to the at least one motor and is configured to decrease an initial velocity of the roller nip to a final velocity using an electronic cam velocity profile and to increase the final velocity of the nip to the initial velocity after releasing the printed products over a longer period of a cycle of the electronic cam velocity profile than decreasing the initial velocity to the final velocity. • Patent number: 9473500
Abstract: A method, system, and computer program product for detecting and enforcing compliance with access requirements for a computer system in a restricted computer network. A compliance validation configuration file is created for the computer system. A maintenance service utility is configured to launch a compliance validation executable file at a specified time during operation of the computer system. A digital hash is generated for the compliance validation executable file and for the compliance validation configuration file. A determination is made if the computer system or a computer system user is a member of a configured restricted group. If the computer system or the computer system user is a member of a configured restricted group, a determination is made if a directory site code for a subnet of the restricted computer network to which the computer system is connected corresponds to a configured and allowed site.

  • Patent number: 9456531
Abstract: A lightweight audio player for vehicular application is virtually “fastenerless” and includes a fold-up case formed of polymer based material molded to provide details to accept audio devices, as well as the circuit boards required for electrical control and display. The case is of composite structure, including an insert molded electrically conductive wire mesh screen. The wire mesh provides shielding and grounding of the circuit boards via exposed wire mesh pads and adjacent ground clips. Side wall closure members define self-engaging attachment features for affixing to the case, providing electrical self-grounding with the wire screen and thermal grounding with internal power devices. The major components and subassemblies are self-fixturing during the final assembly process, eliminating the need for dedicated tools, fixtures and assembly equipment.

  • Patent number: 9088763
Abstract: A method for recording multiple pieces of content with a single tuner. A content delivery network can include multiple channels organized into bands with several channels per band. These bands can be transmitted on an up-link such as to a satellite. The bands can be relayed to receivers at the end user locations. The end user receivers can tune to one, two, or some other fraction of the total number of transmitted bands. When a user selects a program to view and/or record, a tuner of the receiver tunes to the band that includes the channel that includes the program. The method prompts the user regarding the other channels that form the set of channels on that band, and solicits input for recording one or more concurrent programs of the band, which can all be recorded on the single receiving tuner.

  • Patent number: 8958216
Abstract: A digital isolation circuit includes an encode circuit, a planar magnetic circuit, and a decode circuit. The encode circuit receives an input signal and divides the input signal into a first signal pulse and a second signal pulse. The planar magnetic circuit is coupled to an output of the encode circuit. The planar magnetic circuit includes a primary winding, a secondary winding and a magnetic core. The primary winding is magnetically coupled to the secondary winding through the magnetic core to generate an isolated output signal in response to the pair of signal pulses. The decode circuit receives the isolated output signal from the secondary winding to generate an output signal substantially identical to input signal. A method of digitally isolating a square wave input signal from an output signal using the digital isolation circuit is also disclosed.
