  • Publication number: 20180257684
Abstract: The invention relates to a rail vehicle including an image generation system for capturing a space outside the rail vehicle. The image generation system includes four image generation devices each of which, during operation of the image generation system, generates two-dimensional images of the space. A first a second of the four image generation devices are disposed at a first distance from one another on the rail vehicle and form a first stereo pair, which captures a first shared portion of the space from different viewing angles. A third and a fourth of the four image generation devices are disposed at a second distance from one another on the rail vehicle and form a second stereo pair, which detects a second shared portion of the space from different viewing angles. The first shared portion the space and the second shared portion of the space have a shared spatial region.

  • Patent number: 10006468
Abstract: Conventionally, turbocharger bearing housings are cast, and then oil passageways are drilled or bored into the casting. As a result, bores are limited to straight lines extending from drill access points. Greater design flexibility is provided by pre-staging in a mold a collection of metal pipes which will define one or more of oil, air and water galleries, and then casting a bearing housing around the pipes. This provides almost unlimited freedom in shaping and locating the oil bores and other features.

  • Publication number: 20180056769
Abstract: An electric truck has a chassis, on which a driver's cab with a motor compartment containing an electric motor is disposed in the front of the electric truck, and in the rear a cargo body rests on the chassis. The cargo body substructure sits on vehicle longitudinal beams of the chassis. The cargo body bottom sealing the cargo body on the underside is spaced above the vehicle longitudinal beams to ensure clearance for a sufficient spring travel. A battery housing with at least one integrated battery is disposed in the intermediate space between the vehicle longitudinal beams and the body bottom, so that a larger installation space is available for the batteries and therefore a greater range for the electric truck. The battery is protected in this region and, moreover, the insulation of the battery housing simultaneously contributes to insulation of the cargo body disposed above the battery housing.
