  • Publication number: 20210274789
Abstract: A method of treating a surface so that the antimicrobial activity of water-soluble antimicrobial agents is retained at the surface despite repeated washing with water is described. The method uses a dispersion of a lipidated polyanionic molecule and one or more antimicrobial agents in an aqueous carrier such as water. The treatment of the surface of the fabric of adhesive bandages and stainless steel is demonstrated using a combination of crystal violet and silver nitrate as the antimicrobial agents. The method has application in the treatment of such surfaces to control microbial growth and the development of biofilms.

  • Patent number: 11098718
Abstract: A pump cooling system may include a cooling body configured to be fitted to a pump housing to receive heat from the pump housing via a heat conducting path between the cooling body and pump housing. The cooling body may have a passage through which, in use, a cooling fluid is passed to conduct heat away from the cooling body. The pump cooling system includes a cooling control mechanism configured to provide a gap in the heat conducting path at pump operating temperatures below a predefined temperature so heat conduction from the pump housing to the cooling body is interrupted.

  • Publication number: 20210257317
Abstract: Distributions of on-chip inductors for monolithic voltage regulation are described. On-chip voltage regulation may be provided by integrated voltage regulators (IVRs), such as a buck converter with integrated inductors. On-chip inductors may be placed to ensure optimal voltage regulation for high power density applications. With this technology, integrated circuits may have many independent voltage domains for fine-grained dynamic voltage and frequency scaling that allows for higher overall power efficiency for the system.
