  • Patent number: 8002602
Abstract: A manufacturing method of a vacuum airtight container includes a baking step of baking, in a vacuum atmosphere, a container in which a first non-evaporable getter and a second non-evaporable getter having an activation temperature higher than that of the first non-evaporable getter are disposed. The baking step further includes steps of baking the entire container by increasing the temperatures of the container to a temperature T1 and holding the temperature T1, which is equal to or higher than an activation temperature of the first non-evaporable getter and is lower than an activation temperature of the second non-evaporable getter. After holding the temperature T1, the entire container is baked by increasing the temperature of the container to a temperature T2, which is higher than the activation temperature of the second non-evaporable getter.

  • Publication number: 20110061804
Abstract: It arranges a bonding material between a pair of base materials having different heat capacities and in which a difference between thermal expansion coefficients thereof is within 10×10?7/° C.; and bonds the pair of the base materials by the bonding material, by irradiating electromagnetic wave to the bonding material to melt and then harden it, wherein a thermal expansion coefficient at part of the bonding material facing one of the pair of the base materials of which the heat capacity is smaller is smaller than a thermal expansion coefficient at part of the bonding material facing the other of the pair of the base materials of which the heat capacity is larger by a difference within 10×10?7/° C., thereby bonding the base materials of which a difference of thermal expansion coefficients is relatively small, as preventing breakage and crack from occurring and further suppressing a degree of warp.

  • Publication number: 20110061806
Abstract: A method comprises: arranging a bonding material between a pair of base materials; and bonding, as mutually pressing the pair of the base materials, the pair of the base materials by the bonding material, by irradiating an electromagnetic wave while moving an irradiation position along the bonding material to melt and then harden the bonding material, wherein the arranging includes arranging the bonding material on one of faces of the pair of the base materials so as to have a convex portion which continuously extends in a direction along which the bonding material extends and in which its central region in a width direction protrudes toward the other of the faces of the pair of the base materials. Thus, a stress according to heating and cooling of the base material is reduced and crack does not occur easily in a bonding portion.

  • Publication number: 20110061805
Abstract: A bonding step of an image display apparatus manufacturing method includes, after bringing a first or second substrate opposite to a face of a frame member having a bonding material thereon into contact with the bonding material, bonding the first or second substrate opposite to the face of the frame member having the bonding material thereon and the frame member to each other, by irradiating a laser beam to the bonding material through at least a underlying layer. Here, the underlying layer includes a material which absorbs the laser beam easily, and the laser beam is irradiated to a predetermined range. Thus, in bonding of base materials by irradiation of the laser beam, it is possible to reduce damages such as occurrence of disconnection and short circuit in wirings, and achieve reliability and excellent airtightness of the image display apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20110061803
Abstract: An image display apparatus manufacturing method comprises: arranging a bonding material between a pair of base materials acting as a first or second substrate and a frame member, wherein the bonding material includes a main portion extending along the frame member in a closed shape, and a thinner additional portion branching from the main portion as an elongation of a side constituting the main portion; and bonding, as mutually pressing to each other the base materials, the pair of the base materials by the bonding material, by irradiating an electromagnetic wave to the main portion while moving an irradiation position along the bonding material to melt the main portion, and then hardening the melted main portion. Thus, a crack having a possibility of occurrence and widening from the corners of the bonding material can be easily suppressed.
