  • Patent number: 10038753
Abstract: Systems and methods include a distributed system that uses a declarative language to separate application logic from the network technology used to communicate. For example, in a system with a plurality of processing nodes, each processing node may include at least one processor, a networking layer for communicating with other processing nodes, and a memory storing instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the processing node to perform operations. The operations may include receiving a processing plan using the networking layer and analyzing the processing plan to determine a service to perform and a number of inputs anticipated for the service. The operations may also include performing the determined service. The processing plan defines a processing tree comprising a subset of the plurality of processing nodes, the processing tree having unidirectional communication from the root to a final level of the tree.

  • Publication number: 20180170663
Abstract: A pod containing one or more beverage ingredients is provided, where the pod comprises a generally rigid outer member (12) with an open top and an outlet opening in the bottom, with an internal filter (16) adjacent a bottom portion of the outer member, one or more beverage ingredients disposed above the filter, and a lid (14) closing the open top. The outer member has an outer peripheral sidewall (20) defining the open top and extending downwardly from the open top toward the bottom portion and inwardly converging toward the outlet opening. The bottom portion of the sidewall defines a plurality of ribs (36) extending inwardly in the interior of the outer member toward the outlet opening. Beverage outlet flow paths are disposed between adjacent ribs and directed toward the outlet opening. The filter is supported above the outlet opening and the beverage outlet flow paths by the ribs.

  • Publication number: 20180138771
Abstract: An apparatus for automatically routing a wire lead of a stator from a first position to a second position includes a base assembly to receive the stator. A clamp assembly is mounted on the base assembly to hold the wire lead in the first position. An arbor rotates the wire lead. The arbor has a holder to hold the wire lead. An end effector grips and moves the wire lead. A controller moves the end effector to grip the wire lead at the first position and to couple the wire lead with the arbor. Further, the controller rotates the arbor to rotate the wire lead along the circumference of the stator by a pre-determined angle. The controller moves the end effector to grip the wire lead held by the holder, and to move the wire lead to the second position.

  • Patent number: 9939808
Abstract: A method of process control for a batch process includes pre-measuring a monitor lot to obtain pre-metrology data regarding at least a first process parameter. There are no product units included with the monitor lot. The pre-metrology data is saved together with an identifier for the first monitor unit. A batch is staged for the batch process including at least a first product lot including a plurality of product units together with the first monitor unit. The batch is batch processed through the batch process. After the batch processing, the first monitor unit is measured to obtain post-metrology data for the first process parameter. At least one of the post-metrology data and a difference between the post-metrology data and pre-metrology data is saved to a data file with an identifier for the first product lot or the pre-metrology data and post-metrology data is directly written to the first product lot.

  • Patent number: 9637061
Abstract: A glove box supported by an instrument panel includes a storage compartment displaceable between an open position and a closed position, and at least one resilient arm protruding from an exterior surface of the storage compartment through an aperture in the instrument panel. The resilient arm may have a first surface for contacting an edge of the aperture and deflecting the resilient arm during installation of the storage compartment and a second surface for limiting displacement of the storage compartment once installed. An application of a force to the resilient arm allows displacement of the storage compartment beyond the open position allowing removal of the glove box from the instrument panel.

  • Patent number: 9623698
Abstract: A book for use with augmented reality applications includes a plurality of stiff leaves, each side of which forms a page of the book. On each page a respective fiduciary marker is positioned substantially in the middle of the page. Each fiduciary marker comprises a different respective asymmetric pattern capable of indicating the scale and orientation of the book to an augmented reality application and of indicating the respective page, and a non-alphanumeric pattern positioned closer to an outside edge of the page of the book than the fiduciary marker. The non-alphanumeric pattern on a respective page is capable of indicating at least the opposing page pair comprising the respective page on which the non-alphanumeric pattern is positioned, when used in conjunction with the scale and orientation of the book as indicated by a fiduciary marker on a different page to that of the respective non-alphanumeric pattern.
