  • Patent number: 9717316
Abstract: There is presented a compact housing for a compact cosmetic container. The housing comprises a godet receptacle adapted to receive a godet containing a cosmetic product. The housing is movable between a closed configuration, in which the cosmetic product of the received godet is covered, and an open configuration, in which the cosmetic product of the received godet is uncovered to allow a user to access the cosmetic product. When the housing is in the open configuration, the godet receptacle is movable between a locked configuration, in which removal of the godet from the godet receptacle is prevented, and a release configuration, in which removal of the godet from the godet receptacle is permitted. When the housing is in the closed configuration, the godet receptacle is in the locked configuration.

  • Publication number: 20170172284
Abstract: A rotary airless compact including facing concentric arcuate inner and annular outer walls which are manually rotatable relative to each other, and a flexible tube extending between the walls and secured to the inner wall. The outer wall has radial ribs projecting inwardly to crimp the tube at spaced locations against the inner wall, providing successive seals between which the tube has internally open regions for holding fluid product. As the outer wall rotates relative to the inner wall in a direction from a first to a second end of the tube, product is drawn from a supply pouch at the first end into successive open regions of the tube in discrete quantities separated by the seals, and the ribs advance the seals and open regions to the second end, where a nozzle or other dispensing element discharges the quantities of product into a pan area of the compact.

  • Patent number: 9650218
Abstract: A conveyor system for moving a wheeled structure through a service line, the conveyor system including at least one endless belt mounted longitudinally through the service line. The belt has an upper transport portion for moving the vehicle through the service line, and a lower return portion with a support deck below the upper transport portion to support the belt. A debris deflector is mounted between the upper transport portion and the lower return portion to protect the lower return portion from debris falling through the support deck. A heater is mounted between the debris deflector and the support deck along at least a portion of the length of the service line. The debris deflector and the support deck define a region of higher heat concentration relative to an area below the debris deflector.

  • Publication number: 20170097209
Abstract: Disclosed is a modular advanced technology -marksmanship proficiency (MAT-MP) system. The MAT-MP system provides marksmanship instructors with a robust and reconfigurable set of technological tools to quickly diagnose and remediate deficiencies in marksmanship skill at a live-fire range. The system diagnoses the shooter's performance using an array of sensors and an optic camera, all placed on the shooter's weapon, to continuously monitor and record his/her performance during weapon fire. Data output by the sensors and optic camera is gathered by the MAT-MP system's weapon-mounted control device and sent wirelessly to an instructor station, typically a tablet, laptop computer or the like. The MAT-MP coach software running on the instructor's computer presents a summarized analysis of the shooter's performance as well as provides the instructor the ability to view the raw sensor data graphically.

  • Patent number: 9609072
Abstract: Systems and methods for social dating are provided. In particular, some embodiments provide recommendations for connections (i.e., candidate users) based on a user's social graph. These recommendations can identify potential single individuals that may be good matches for dating or can identify individuals with other commonalities or shared experiences to create dialog. For example, the recommendations for a user can include single individuals that are friends of a friend. The user can be presented with information about the recommendation and then ask for an introduction from the user's friend. As another example, the recommendations can be based on subject matter selected by the user (e.g., twins, cancer, phone type, etc.) with or without any friendship connections. The user may also be able to filter or further refine the searches based on other criteria such as interests, location, age, and/or other constraints. Rewards can be provided in some cases to encourage participation.

  • Patent number: 9490491
Abstract: A fuel supply (10) is attachable to a fuel cell system (12). The fuel supply includes a fuel supply connector (14) configured to be attached to the fuel cell system. A fuel supply connector automatically separates the fuel supply from the fuel cell system in a predetermined manner if exposed to a separation load. Valves (24, 26) or filler material (23a-d) are used to automatically stop the flow of fuel through the fuel supply connector. Alternatively, the fuel supply connector includes a flexible tube (114) and a valve disposed within the connector. The flexibility of the tube prevents the connector from breaking in case of a separation load.

  • Patent number: 9487212
Abstract: A method and system for controlling a position of a vehicle relative to other vehicles on a road is provided. The method includes controlling a position of a host vehicle travelling in a lane of a road using an automated driving system and monitoring positions of one or more side vehicles located on either side of the host vehicle and traveling in adjacent lanes. The method further includes detecting a condition in which the host vehicle is or will be positioned in a blind spot of a side vehicle disposed on in an adjacent lane and adjusting the position of the host vehicle in response to the condition using the automated driving system such that the amount of time the host vehicle is or will be positioned in the blind spot of the side vehicle is reduced.

  • Publication number: 20160307241
Abstract: A social networking system predicts a life event (e.g., birthday, change in marital status, relationship status, etc.) for a target user based on information associated with the user. The social networking system identifies gift suggestions to provide to one or more friends of the user based on the predicted event. A gift suggestion may include an invitation to purchase or send an item, voucher, or other gift to the target user, wherein the gift may be determined based on information about the target user's interests obtained by the social networking system. The social networking system sends a gift suggestion to one or more friends of the target user, where the gift suggestion identifies the predicted life event and provides the gift suggestion to the target user's friend. The advertisement may require action by multiple of the target user's friends before the gift is sent to the target user.

  • Publication number: 20160290498
Abstract: A system including a current module, a second module, and a temperature module. The current module is configured to determine an amount of current drawn from a power source by a hydraulic pump of a transmission based on a current signal received from a current sensor. The current signal is indicative of the current drawn by the hydraulic pump. The second module is configured to determine (i) a speed of the hydraulic pump based on a speed signal received from a speed sensor, or (ii) an output torque of the hydraulic pump based on the amount of current drawn by the hydraulic pump. The speed signal is indicative of the speed of the hydraulic pump. The temperature module is configured to estimate a temperature of a hydraulic fluid circulated by the hydraulic pump based on (i) the amount of current drawn by the hydraulic pump, and (ii) the speed or the output torque of the hydraulic pump. The second module is configured to adjust the speed of the hydraulic pump based on the temperature of the hydraulic fluid.
