  • Patent number: 10731705
Abstract: A detecting apparatus for detecting displacement of a bearing unit sandwiched between a spindle extending in an axial direction and a spindle seat is provided. The detecting apparatus includes a detector unit and a control unit. The detector unit includes a pair of sensing devices with each sensing device including a sensor that abuts against an end surface of an outer ring of the bearing unit and outputting, based on a sensing of the sensor thereof, a detected signal associated with a displacement of the end surface in the axial direction. The control unit is configured to determine whether the bearing unit is abnormal based on the detected signals.

  • Publication number: 20200223025
Abstract: A control system for controlling oil-injection of a machine tool includes a sensor, a signal-processing device and a control device. The sensor senses movement of a machine component of the machine tool and outputs a sense signal to the signal-processing device. The signal-processing device derives analysis signals from the sense signal and sends the analysis signals to the control device. The control device determines whether to output an oiling signal to the machine tool to trigger an oiling device to oil the machine component according to an accumulated moving distance and a variation value that are calculated based on the analysis signals.

  • Publication number: 20200225639
Abstract: A control system for evaluating residual operating life of a machine component of a machine tool includes a sensor and a control system. The sensor is disposed on the machine tool and is configured to sense movement of the machine component. The control device is configured to calculate a length of time based on a sense signal received from the sensor and sampled at a time point right after the machine component is freshly oiled, and to enable output of an alarm when determining that the length of time thus calculated is smaller than a predetermined length.

  • Patent number: 10652583
Abstract: A hybrid compression method for compressing images is provided. The method identifies a first set of image components to be compressed by a lossy compression format and a second set of image components to be compressed by a lossless compression format. The method then encodes the first set of image components according to the lossy compression format and encodes the second set of image components according to the lossless compression format. The method then generates a compressed structure that includes the lossy-compressed first set of image components and the lossless-compressed second set of image components.

  • Publication number: 20190356911
Abstract: A method for decoding a compressed video data sequence containing one or more coded pixel blocks. The compressed video sequence is buffered. Prediction information for each of the coded pixel blocks is reviewed. One or more groups of coded pixel blocks are formed based on the reviewed prediction information such that the coded pixel blocks within a given group have similar prediction dependencies and/or at least do not depend on a reconstructed pixel within a group of received pixel blocks to enable parallel decoding. The formed groups are scheduled for processing and subsequently decoded to produce a decoded video data sequence.

  • Patent number: 10478932
Abstract: A machining center includes a machine bed, a work table unit, a sliding unit, a first driving unit, a conveying member, a second driving unit and a loading seat. The machine bed has a machining zone and a transferring zone. The first driving unit is operable for driving the conveying member to move along a conveying axis which extends in a first direction, thereby driving the loading seat to move along first adjusting axes which extend in the first direction between the transferring and machining zones. The second driving unit is operable for driving the loading seat to move along second adjusting axes which extend in a second direction, which is perpendicular to the first direction and which is substantially vertical.

  • Patent number: 10475335
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for the visualization of vehicular-based telematics data. In various aspects, telematics data may be aggregated for a plurality of vehicles where the telematics data can include telematics data observation(s) for each vehicle. Each observation can indicate a coordinate value of the vehicle and a timestamp for the observation, and can further indicate any of a device identifier for a telematics device associated with the vehicle, a speed value of the vehicle, a g-force value of the vehicle, a trip identifier associated with the vehicle, a distance value of the vehicle, or a stop indicator value of the vehicle. A visualization may also be generated based on at least a subset of the telematics data such that the visualization can indicate one or more image features associated with the one or more of the plurality of vehicles.
