  • Patent number: 7116566
Abstract: A method and a circuit for controlling a switching frequency signal used in a direct current to direct current (DC to DC) converter are proposed. The DC to DC converter generates an output voltage to drive a system. The switching frequency signal is generated by inputting a modulation frequency to a pulse width modulation (PWM) circuit. The method includes steps of: 1. generating a control signal from the system to stop the pulse width modulation (PWM) circuit to generate the switching frequency signal when a signal is received by the system; and 2. restarting the pulse width modulation (PWM) circuit to generate the switching frequency signal in order to increase the output voltage to drive the system when the output voltage from the DC to DC converter is under a predetermined voltage.

  • Publication number: 20060070192
Abstract: A dyeing method for a substrate material and the colored substrate material thereby produced comprises the steps of laying a substrate film made of melted TPU on a surface of a substrate material (a fabric or a non-fabric), cooling the film, coloring the film with a water soluble dyes free of solvents, washing extra dyes off the film, and drying the substrate material. Because of the covalent bond between TPU and the water soluble dyes, the adhesion of the dyes is greatly enhanced. Since the steps of laying substrate films and coloring are independent, small amounts of coloring pieces can be done without raising production cost too much. Further, since the water soluble dyes do not contain solvents, the product thereby produced is free from pollutant emission, which is environmentally friendly.

  • Publication number: 20060046287
Abstract: The invention relates to biocatalytic methods for preparing enantiomerically pure stereoisomers of 1-(2,6-dichloro-3-fluorophenyl)ethanol. Disclosed are methods of preparation of the desired (S)-enantiomer, which methods are based on a combination of enzymatic resolution, chemical esterification and chemical hydrolysis with inversion of 1-(2,6-dichloro-3-fluorophenyl)ethyl esters or stereoselective bio-reduction of 2,6-dichloro-3-fluoro-acetophenone with a biocatalyst such as an enzyme or a microorganism. The chiral (S)-enantiomer can be used in the synthesis of certain enantiomerically enriched, ether linked 2-aminopyridine compounds that potently inhibit auto-phosphorylation of human heptocyte growth factor receptor.

  • Publication number: 20040043959
Abstract: The present invention is directed to combination therapies for treating cell proliferative disorders associated with methylthioadenosine phosphorylase (MTAP) deficient cells in a mammal. The combination therapies selectively kill MTAP-deficient cells by administering an inhibitor of de novo inosinate synthesis and administering an anti-toxicity agent, wherein the inhibitors of de novo inosinate synthesis are inhibitors of glycinamide ribonucleotide formyltransferase (“GARFT”) and/or aminoinidazolecarboximide ribonucleotide formyltransferase (“AICARFT”), and the anti-toxicity agent is an MTAP substrate (e.g. methylthioadenosine or “MTA”), a precursor of MTA, an analog of an MTA precursor or a prodrug of an MTAP substrate.
