  • Publication number: 20200291755
Abstract: Migration of formation solids in a wellbore is restrained by feeding a slurry, comprising water, a viscosifier, and a concentration of cement clinker particles, into the wellbore, and hydrating the clinker particles in the wellbore. The clinker particles are kept in suspension during the hydrating, and upon completion of the hydrating the hydrated clinker particles form a hardened cement consisting of a permeable structure of interconnected hydrated clinker particles. A layer of degradable lost circulation material (LCM) may be employed to separate the slurry with clinker particles from the formation surrounding the wellbore during hydrating of the clinker particles.

  • Publication number: 20200047333
Abstract: A manipulator system having a positioner having a primary rail, a first coupling linkage, and a second coupling linkage. The first coupling linkage couples the primary rail to a base and positions the primary rail along a first plane. The system has another positioner having a secondary rail, a third coupling linkage, and a fourth coupling linkage. The third coupling linkage couples the secondary rail to the base and positions the secondary rail along a second plane which is parallel to the first plane. A common link couples to the primary and secondary rails via linkages. Each of the second and fourth coupling linkages includes a joint for linear motion along the respective rail, and a revolute joint for relative pivoting between the respective rail and the common link. A position and orientation of the common link are adjustable by the joints and revolute joints.

  • Publication number: 20190231266
Abstract: A method of monitoring a bone fracture in an individual. The method comprises the steps of: measuring a first parameter indicative of the load on said bone fracture; measuring a second parameter indicative of the activity level of said individual; obtaining a plurality of values for said first and second parameters; correlating said values to determine a measure of bone fracture condition; monitoring a change in said correlation over time; and determining a measure of the change in bone fracture condition over time. A bone fixation system implements this method of monitoring a bone fracture in an individual. The method and system provide a more accurate and reliable measure of bone fracture condition and of the progression of healing of the bone fracture.
