  • Publication number: 20180058691
Abstract: A device for mixing combustible gas and combustion air, hot water installation, and corresponding thermal mass flow sensor and method. The device includes an air line, a gas line with a control valve, a first measuring line connecting the air and gas lines, and a second measuring line connecting the first measuring line to the gas and/or air line, forming a three-way intersection. A thermal mass flow sensor includes first and second temperature sensors in the first measuring line, positioned respectively in a gas flow between the three-way intersection and the air line and in a gas flow between the three-way intersection and the gas line. A controller controls the control valve based on a difference, measured by the flow sensor, between mass flow rate of gas between the three-way intersection and the air line and mass flow rate of gas between the three-way intersection and the gas line.

  • Patent number: 9609233
Abstract: Disclosed are a method and apparatus for adjusting a set of luminance values associated with a set of visual elements in a current frame (310) of a video sequence for object detection (370). The method determines (410,430,450), for each of a plurality of scenarios (SO, SI, S2), a set of adjusted luminance values based on a corresponding luminance compensation value, and accumulates (460), for each scenario, a set of brightness counts and darkness counts of the current frame based on the set of adjusted luminance values. A metric (470) is calculated for each scenario based on the set of brightness counts and darkness counts and one of scenarios is selected based on the calculated metric. The method then selects (350) the adjusted luminance value associated with the selected scenario as an adjusted set of luminance values associated with the current frame of the video sequence.

  • Publication number: 20160378346
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for providing a network attached storage system which does not require specialized hardware to operate. In one embodiment, a downloadable software package is provided via a web interface. After a user has downloaded and installed the software package, a sharable volume is created upon a host system. In one embodiment, the sharable volume is adapted to present the contents of one or more remote systems to the host system as a local file, drive, or directory. One or more processes resident in the host system are adapted to intercept a command interpretable by the host system and translate the command into one or more commands interpretable by at least one remote system. The one or more commands are then serviced by at least one remote system and a result set is generated. The result set may then be converted into a format interpretable by the host system and output accordingly.
