  • Patent number: 12091003
Abstract: Techniques for determining whether to yield a vehicle to an oncoming object based on a stationary object are discussed herein. A vehicle can determine a drivable area in an environment through which the vehicle is travelling. A trajectory associated with the vehicle can be determined. A probability that the oncoming object will intersect a drive path associated with a vehicle trajectory can be determined. In some case, the probability can be based on various distance metric(s) of the environment. If the oncoming object is determined to intersect the drive path, a stopping location for the vehicle can be determined to allow the oncoming object to traverse around the stationary object. The vehicle can be controlled based on sensor data captured by the vehicle and the probability.

  • Patent number: 12084071
Abstract: Techniques for analyzing driving simulations and determining simulation stability metrics are discussed herein. Various techniques may include receiving a driving simulation and determining a number of perturbed simulations based on the driving simulation. The perturbed simulations may include, for example, one or more perturbed object attributes, perturbed simulation failure conditions, and/or perturbed behaviors of the vehicle system on which the simulation is executed. The perturbed simulations may be executed, and the results may be analyzed to determine a stability score associated with the driving simulation. Stability scores for driving simulations may be determined and maintained based on different simulation data perturbations received based on perturbation models, and the stability scores may be used in various implementations to generate simulation batteries for regression testing and for analyzing and routing simulation failures.

  • Publication number: 20240277274
Abstract: An implantable device for estimating neural recruitment arising from a stimulus, has a plurality of electrodes. A stimulus source provides stimuli to be delivered from the electrodes to neural tissue. Measurement circuitry obtains a measurement of a neural signal sensed at the electrodes. A control unit is configured to control application of a selected stimulus to neural tissue using the stimulus electrodes; and after the selected neural stimulus, apply a probe stimulus having a short pulse width. A remnant neural response evoked by the probe stimulus is measured; and the control unit estimates from the remnant neural response a neural recruitment caused by the selected neural stimulus.

  • Patent number: 12064632
Abstract: A method of controlling a neural stimulus by use of feedback. The neural stimulus is applied to a neural pathway in order to give rise to an evoked action potential on the neural pathway. The stimulus is defined by at least one stimulus parameter. A neural compound action potential response evoked by the stimulus is measured. From the measured evoked response a feedback variable is derived. A feedback loop is completed by using the feedback variable to control the at least one stimulus parameter value. The feedback loop adaptively compensates for changes in a gain of the feedback loop caused by electrode movement relative to the neural pathway.

  • Patent number: 12048564
Abstract: A method for processing a neural measurement obtained in the presence of artifact, in order to detect whether a neural response is present in the neural measurement. A neural measurement is obtained from one or more sense electrodes. The neural measurement is correlated against a filter template, the filter template comprising at least three half cycles of an alternating waveform, amplitude modulated by a window. • Publication number: 20240234642
Abstract: Solid-state lighting devices, and more particularly sidewall arrangements for light-emitting devices such as light-emitting diodes (LEDs) are disclosed. LED devices may include light-altering materials that are provided around peripheral sidewalls of LED chips without the need for a supporting submount or lead frame. The side layer around the peripheral sidewall of the LED chip can include an inner layer and an outer layer, each with different light altering properties. For example, the inner layer can be reflective so as to improve the light output and/or efficiency of the LED chip, while the outer layer can be absorptive so as to avoid interaction and/or crosstalk with neighboring LED chips. By having a reflective inner layer, and an absorptive outer layer, light output, sharpness, and contrast can be improved.

  • Publication number: 20240199083
Abstract: A machine-learned architecture for estimating the cost determined by a cost function for a prediction node of a tree search for exploring potential paths for controlling a vehicle may include two portions: a set up portion that includes models trained to process static data and a second portion that processes dynamic object data. The respective portions of the architecture may comprise various models that determine intermediate outputs that may be projected into a space associated with estimated cost. That estimated cost may identify an estimate of an output of the cost function for paths that are based on a particular prediction node of the tree search.

  • Publication number: 20240197225
Abstract: An implantable device for controlling electrical conditions of body tissue. A feedback sense electrode and a compensation electrode are positioned proximal to the tissue to make electrical contact with the tissue. A feedback amplifier is referenced to ground, and takes as an input a feedback signal from the feedback sense electrode. The output of the feedback amplifier is connected to the compensation electrode. The feedback amplifier thus drives the neural tissue via the compensation electrode in a feedback arrangement which seeks to drive the feedback signal to ground, or other desired electrical value.
