  • Publication number: 20240070195
Abstract: Techniques relating to streaming video are disclosed. These techniques include identifying one or more streaming video sessions for one or more users based on a plurality of events relating to streaming video for the one or more users. The techniques further include storing data for the one or more streaming video sessions in an electronic database, based on the plurality of events, identifying a plurality of metadata relating to the events, and determining, based on a threshold value, a time to store at least a portion of the plurality of metadata in the electronic database, the time occurring after the storing the data for the one or more streaming video sessions. The techniques further include responding to a query for metrics relating to the one or more streaming video sessions by aggregating at least a portion of the stored data.

  • Publication number: 20240069865
Abstract: An adder for fractional logarithmic number system (FLNS) format operands includes a compare-and-swap circuit that inputs first and second FLNS operands represented by fixed point values and provides a greater one as operand x and a lesser or equal one as operand y. Sign bits are sx and sy of x and y, respectively, qx and qy, are integer portions of x and y, respectively, fraction portions of x and y have integer values rx and ry, respectively. The compare-and-swap circuit is configured to provide sx as a sign bit, sz of a sum z=x(1+y/x) for x?0. A subtraction circuit subtracts (qy+ry/n)?(qx+rx/n) and outputs q? and r?, such that ?=y/x, where n=2wr and wr is a bit-width of rx and ry. An approximation circuit provides an approximation of (1+?) to a nearest FLNS value, ?, as fixed point value having an integer portion q? and a fraction portion that has an integer value r?.

  • Publication number: 20230380622
Abstract: A beverage brewing system which includes a container and a beverage brewing apparatus. The container may include a body portion defining a cavity containing a beverage ingredient. The body portion may be flexible so that when it is unimpeded during a beverage vend is can expand from an initial volume to a maximum volume. The beverage brewing apparatus may support the container and may include an expansion limiter that can limit the expansion of the container during the beverage vend. The beverage brewing apparatus may operate in a first mode whereby the expansion limiter does not impede the container and the container expands from the initial state to the maximum expanded state during the beverage vend. The beverage brewing apparatus may operate in a second mode whereby the expansion limiter impedes the container and prevents the container from expanding to the maximum expanded state during the beverage vend.

  • Patent number: 11753729
Abstract: A cathodic protection (CP) interruption system includes a metallic structure and a plurality of passive CP units embedded in an electrolytic medium, a plurality of test units electrically coupled with the structure and each of the CP units, and a low-power consumption component arrangement. The arrangement includes a real-time clock (RTC) and a GPS receiver coupled with each test unit for receiving GPS time from a GPS satellite. A controller is communicatively coupled with each RTC and GPS receiver for activating the GPS receiver once the RTC reaches a predetermined time to synchronize a RTC time of each RTC with GPS time. Interruption modules are coupled in electrical and data communication with the controller. The controller selectively changes an activation state of each interruption module once the RTC time reaches a predetermined activation state change time to selectively electrically couple or decouple each CP unit from the structure.

  • Publication number: 20230260599
Abstract: One aspect of the present disclosure relates to a method of quantifying soil carbon in a unit of land. The method generally comprises the steps of (i) obtaining an estimated spatial distribution of carbon content in the unit of land, (ii) stratifying the unit of land into a plurality of strata based at least partly on the spatial distribution of carbon content, (iii) selecting one or more locations from each of one or more of the plurality of strata, the one or more locations being selected with randomness, (iv) determining sample carbon content associated with the one or more first locations and (v) determining total carbon content in the unit of land based at least partly on the sample carbon content. In another aspect, this method may be used to quantify soil carbon sequestered in a unit of land by repeating steps (iv) and (v) at a second time and thereafter determining the amount of carbon sequestered.
