  • Publication number: 20150117326
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for wireless communication. In one method, a first node of an independent basic service set (IBSS) may receive a beacon from a second node of the IBSS. The beacon may include a token. Based at least in part on the token, the first node may determine that the second node has disconnected from and rejoined the IBSS. In another method, a token may be generated at a node. The token may indicate that the node has disconnected from and rejoined an IBSS. A beacon including the token may be transmitted to the IBSS responsive to the node rejoining the IBSS.

  • Patent number: 9016480
Abstract: A multi-cyclone sediment filter having a housing with upper and lower shells and defining an interior space for fluid flow. A cyclone holder is disposed in the housing and includes a plurality of fluid cyclones, each comprising a conical tube with a small opening at a lower end and a larger opening at an upper end. A fluid inlet introduces fluid into the filter housing. A fluid outlet in fluid discharges fluid. A manifold plate is disposed above the cyclone holder and includes a plurality of diffuser tubes, each extending downwardly into an upper end of one of the fluid cyclones. Fluid flowing from the fluid inlet is directed into a diverter cone under the manifold plate and is diverted outwardly between the manifold plate and the cyclone holder, into the fluid cyclones, outwardly through the diffuser tubes, and then out through the fluid outlet.

  • Patent number: 9002872
Abstract: Techniques for parallel processing of directory searches are provided. A directory search is received on a multicore or multiprocessor architecture machine. At least two threads processing on different cores or processors of the machine handle different aspects of the directory search. A first thread identifies matches in the directory for the search and serially populates the matches to search results. The second thread serially and in parallel grabs the matches in the search results and filters some out and modifies other ones of them to complete processing on the search. The search results are then returned to an initial requester making the initial search.

  • Patent number: 8981817
Abstract: A circuit having a centralized PT compensation circuit to provide compensation signals to localized I/O blocks on the chip. Process variations and temperature variations tend to be approximately uniform across an integrated circuit chip. Thus, a single, centralized PT compensation circuit may be used instead of one PT compensation circuit per I/O section as with solutions of the past. Further, the PT compensation circuit may generate a digital code indicative of the effects of process and temperature. Further yet, each section of I/O block may have a local voltage compensation circuit to compensate the voltage variation of the I/O block. The voltage compensation circuit utilizes an independent reference voltage. The reference voltage is generated by the PT compensation circuit, which is placed centrally in the IC chip and hence any need to repeat the reference generation for each I/O block is eliminated.

  • Patent number: 8971229
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for coordinating power management states in a wireless communications device. An access point may buffer data for a station and may then initiate transfer of the buffered data to the station when the station is considered to be in active mode. The access point may transmit each of the one stored data frames with a more data indication when at least one additional frame is buffered and with a no more data indication when no additional frames are buffered. Receipt of the terminal frame including the no more data indication allows the station to return to power save mode without waiting for any timeout period and without risking missing a transmission from the access point.

  • Publication number: 20150039452
Abstract: A consolidated electronic payment system operated by a retailer exclusively for its customers is disclosed. Otherwise independent and limited authentication and payment resources are consolidated within the unified system, facilitating broader access at retail checkout to several payment instruments. System functions are executed jointly by a customer-facing checkout facility and backend network resources comprising an authentication agent and a payment processor. Individual customers registered within the system are assigned a primary customer account, which is recorded within the network's data storage facility. Associated with these accounts are all available payment instruments and certain existing authentication accounts. For retail transactions, personal identification information and payment instructions submitted by the customer are transmitted to the network from checkout, with pertinent authentication and payment signals generated and transmitted back in response thereto.

  • Publication number: 20150016321
Abstract: Functionality can be implemented to improve performance of a direct wireless communication link. In one embodiment, a first network device provides an indication to a second network device that the first network device will enter a power save mode. While operating in the power save mode, the first network device periodically transmits a trigger frame to the second network device to determine whether the second network device comprises buffered frames for the first network device. The first network device receives the buffered frames from the second network device responsive to transmitting the trigger frame. In another embodiment, if both the first and the second network devices operate in the power save mode, the first network device receives a notification of available buffered frames from the second network device. The first network device transmits buffered frames destined for the second network device prior to transmitting a response to the received notification.

  • Publication number: 20150016322
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for coordinating power management for wireless communications devices in an independent basic service set (IBSS). An announcement traffic indication message (ATIM) coordinator receives address information for destination stations for which data is buffered for transmission at source stations. The ATIM coordinator sends an ATIM Indication frame at the end of an ATIM window, alerting any destination station to remain awake to receive buffered data. Source stations may enter power save mode during the ATIM window after transmitting the address information for the destination stations to the ATIM coordinator. Destination stations may enter power save mode after receiving a beacon at the start of the ATIM window. Source and destination stations may awaken at the end of the ATIM window to receive the ATIM Indication frame.
