  • Publication number: 20240393749
Abstract: Techniques for a sophisticated closed-loop control system designed for the automatic regulation of SOx emissions in a Circulating Fluidized Bed Combustion (CFBC) boiler by leveraging the power of Adaptive Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) based control system, this innovative system ensures both real-time model training and implementation for dynamic and efficient SOx emission control. The present disclosure describes processing a current SOx emission, a current lime consumption value and a predefined SOx setpoint value to determine an optimal setpoint of lime consumption required to keep the SOx emission within a desired limit in real-time. Said processing includes determination of lime-SOx peak-trough curve, a response time of the boiler and the change in SOx to the change in lime. The lime consumption setpoint so determined is directly transmitted to a distributed control system to control the injection of lime in the CFBC boiler for automatic regulation of SOx emission control.

  • Patent number: 12153119
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to detecting presence using a low-cost radar. A transmitted signal including repetitions of a transmitted signal is emitted from a transmitting antenna. A received signal including a combination of a plurality of reflections of the transmitted signal is received at receiving antennas. For each received signal, the received signal is processed to determine whether a threshold has been exceeded. When the received signal exceeds the threshold, presence due to a motion from a moving body is determined. When the received signal does not exceed the threshold, a periodicity of the received signal is measured to determine whether the periodicity of the received signal is within a vital range, and presence due to a vital sign is determined when the periodicity is within the vital range.

  • Patent number: 12155383
Abstract: A multiplier cell is derived from a 1-bit full adder and an AND gate. The 1-bit full adder is derived from majority and/or minority gates. The majority and/or minority gates include non-linear polar material (e.g., ferroelectric or paraelectric material). A reset mechanism is provided to reset the nodes across the non-linear polar material. The multiplier cell is a hybrid of majority and/or minority gates and complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) based inverters and/or buffers. The adder uses a non-linear polar capacitor to retain charge with fewer transistors than traditional CMOS sequential circuits. The non-linear polar capacitor includes ferroelectric material, paraelectric material, or non-linear dielectric. Input signals are received by respective terminals of capacitors having non-linear polar material. The other terminals of these capacitors are coupled to a node where the majority function takes place for the inputs.

  • Patent number: 12149924
Abstract: Aspects are provided which allow a UE to disable measurements of reference signals from 5G base stations which are inapplicable to EN-DC. The UE may receive a reference signal from a base station. The UE may identify a frequency range. The UE may determine whether to measure the reference signal based on whether the reference signal is within the identified frequency range. The UE may refrain from measuring the reference signal in response to the determination. The UE may also refrain from measuring the reference signal in response to a SIB received at the UE not including a ULI, or in response to a frequency associated with the reference signal not being in a list of supported bands for EN-DC. As a result, inter-RAT handovers from LTE base stations to 5G base stations are prevented, UE power consumption is thereby saved, and support for EN-DC is maintained.

  • Patent number: 12147379
Abstract: Examples herein describe techniques for performing parallel processing using a plurality of processing elements (PEs) and a controller for data that has data dependencies. For example, a calculation may require an entire row or column to be summed, or to determine its mean. The PEs can be assigned different chunks of a data set (e.g., a tensor set, a column, or a row) for processing. The PEs can use one or more tokens to inform the controller when they are done with partial processing of their data chunks. The controller can then gather the partial results and determine an intermediate value for the data set. The controller can then distribute this intermediate value to the PEs which then re-process their respective data chunks using the intermediate value to generate final results.

  • Patent number: 12150012
Abstract: A system and method for enabling location-based services based on geofence data and privacy settings is provided. The system acquires trip data associated with a vehicle and receives a user input that includes a privacy level associated with the trip data. The system further acquires information that includes a set of geofences corresponding to a set of locations in the trip data. Each geofence of the set of geofences is associated with a rank. The system selects one or more geofences from the set of geofences based on the privacy level and determines, from the trip data, location data that corresponds to the selected one or more geofences. The system filters the trip data by removing the determined location data from the trip data and enables a location-based service based on the filtered trip data.

  • Publication number: 20240379733
Abstract: Ferroelectric capacitor is formed by conformably depositing a non-conductive dielectric over the etched first and second electrodes, and forming a metal cap or helmet over a selective part of the non-conductive dielectric, wherein the metal cap conforms to portions of sidewalls of the non-conductive dielectric. The metal cap is formed by applying physical vapor deposition at a grazing angle to selectively deposit a metal mask over the selective part of the non-conductive dielectric. The metal cap can also be formed by applying ion implantation with tuned etch rate.
