  • Publication number: 20140281584
Abstract: In an embodiment of the present invention, a processor includes content storage logic to parse digital content into portions and to cause each portion to be stored into a corresponding page of a memory. The processor also includes protection logic to receive a write instruction having a destination address within the memory, and if the destination address is associated with a memory location stores a portion of the digital content, erase the page associated with the memory location. If the destination address is associated with another memory location that does not store any of the digital content, the protection logic is to permit execution of the write instruction. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

  • Publication number: 20140282960
Abstract: One embodiment of seamless device configuration between a network device and an access point sends a device credential associated with the network device to the access point before the network device communicates with the access point. The device credential can be used to verify the identity of the network device and can authenticate the network device with the access point without requiring user interaction. Another embodiment can incorporate a central authority maintaining a database of network devices, access points and associated users. The central authority can determine when one or more network devices can seamlessly be configured for use with a particular access point. The central authority can send the device credential associated with the one or more network devices to the access point before the network device communicates with the access point.

  • Publication number: 20140269323
Abstract: Systems and methods for adaptive video delivery over a network, including receiving a plurality of types of data flows from one or more network base stations; separating resource management of the plurality of types of data flows, wherein the data flows include one or more of adaptive video streaming flows, regular video traffic flows, and other traffic flows by resource slicing. A scheduling framework for adaptive video delivery is instantiated; available choices of video bit rates for all users is received as input to an allocator; optimal allocation of resources is computed for all users by determining and selecting an optimal bit rate for each user using the allocator; the optimal bit rate being sent to an enforcer; resources across flows are isolated using the enforcer; and the optimal bit rate for each user is enforced using per-flow traffic shapers to maximize resource utilization without reaching network capacity.

  • Publication number: 20140280861
Abstract: A computer system identifies a pattern of usage of the computer system by a first user, wherein the identified pattern of usage comprises of a first and a second step. The computer system determines the number of times that the first user performs the steps of the identified pattern of usage surpasses a first threshold value. The computer system creates an automation so that each time the first user performs the first step of the identified pattern of usage, the computer system performs the second step of the identified pattern of usage.
