Abstract: An open-bottomed reactor cell for wet processing of substrates can be configured to confine a process liquid to an area under the cell (processing the “internal site”), or alternatively to exclude the process liquid from most of the area under the cell (processing the “external site”) without physical contact between the cell and substrate. A slight underpressure or overpressure maintained inside the main cavity of the cell causes the liquid to form a meniscus in the narrow gap between the cell and substrate rather than flowing outside the desired process area. An area under a peripheral channel outside the main cavity of the cell is shared by both the internal site and the external side, allowing the entire substrate to be processed.

Abstract: The invention described herein solves the challenges encountered in providing a safe, efficacious, and satisfactory option for the treatment of opioid addiction. Methods and devices of the invention allow a subject to receive an implantable formulation comprising an opioid receptor ligand, buprenorphine, or a metabolite thereof as a treatment for opioid addiction. The invention preempts several difficulties encountered with conventional methods for the treatment of opioid addiction, and by doing so the invention improves treatment adherence, compliance, patient satisfaction, and overall success rate.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention relate to event notifications on an end-user device of events that are important to a user of the device. The user is typically subscribed to a service that pulls events from a plurality of sources indicated by the user. The sources include a native address book on the device, a social network(s), a professional network(s), and/or another remote location(s) on the Internet. Around the occurrence of an event, the service allows for automatically generating an electronic wish and for purchasing a gift to be presented to one or more recipients associated with the event. The service can transmit the content in various forms and can include a monetizing scheme. The service is able to intelligently determine which events are important to the user such to alert the user of only those relevant events, and to intelligently select an appropriate channel for transmitting the content.

Abstract: An elongate electrical lead assembly that reduces localized heating due to MR scanner-induced currents includes a first elongate electrical lead having a series of alternating single layer coil sections and multi-layer coil sections, a second elongate electrical lead having a series of alternating single layer coil sections and multi-layer coil sections, and a third elongate electrical lead having a coiled section that coaxially surrounds the first and second electrical leads. Each multi-layer coil section of the second electrical lead is coiled around a respective single layer coil section of the first electrical lead, and each single layer coil section of the second electrical lead is coiled around a respective multi-layer coil section of the first electrical lead.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems, methods, and software for attaching applications to a computing device based on a file type selection. In one example, a method for operating a an application attaching system to dynamically make applications available to a computing device includes identifying an application attach triggering event based on a file selection of a certain file type on the computing device. The method further includes, in response to the application attach triggering event, identifying an application within an application volume based on the certain file type. The method also includes attaching the application volume to computing device, and associating the application to the certain file type on the computing device.

Abstract: Identifying matching transactions. First and second log files contain operation records of transactions in a transaction workload, each file recording a respective execution of the transaction workload, the method comprising. A first record location in the first file and an associated window of a defined number of sequential second record locations in the second file are advanced one record location at a time. Whether each operation record of a complete transaction at a first record location has a matching operation record at one of the record locations in the associated window of second record locations is determined. If so, the complete transaction in the first file and the transaction that includes the matching operation records in the second file are identified as matching transactions.

Abstract: A computer implemented method of providing registry services is disclosed. The method includes identifying one or more top level domains to be serviced; creating, by a processor, a TLD group for the one or more top level domains, wherein top level domains in the TLD group share at least one characteristic; provisioning the one or more top level domains; and registering the one or more top level domains with the TLD group.

Abstract: A technique for communicating with multiple Converged IT Infrastructures (CITIs) includes accessing any CITI that is part of a group of multiple CITIs by accessing a single CITI within the group. In an example, each CITI has a representative converged infrastructure coordinator (CIC), which stores information about the respective CITI. When any CITI in the group receives a request from a client for information about any other CITI in the group, the CIC of the CITI receiving the request contacts the CIC of the other CITI and obtains the requested information about the other CITI from its CIC. In some examples, the CIC also acts to aggregate, filter, and/or analyze information gathered from multiple CITIs in the group, and thus allows clients to receive processed data pertaining to many CITIs in response to simple commands.

Abstract: A container set manager may determine a plurality of container sets, each container set specifying a non-functional architectural concern associated with deployment of a service within at least one data center. A decision table manager may determine a decision table specifying relative priority levels of the container sets relative to one another with respect to the deployment. A placement engine may determine an instance of an application placement model (APM), based on the plurality of container sets and the decision table, determine an instance of a data center placement model (DPM) representing the at least one data center, and generate a placement plan for the deployment, based on the APM instance and the DPM instance.

Abstract: A semiconductor apparatus is provided herein for buffering of nets routed through one or more areas associated with a first power domain that is different from a second power domain associated with the buffers and the buffered nets by limiting placement of these buffers in patterned areas associated with the second power domain. This provides for the routing of the buffered nets to be determined not only based on the shortest distance to travel from Point A to Point B, but also takes into account routing congestion on the semiconductor apparatus. Consequently, if an area on the semiconductor apparatus is congested, the buffered nets may be routed around the congestion. As such, although a path taken by a particular signal through the integrated circuit is not a direct route, it may still be of a distance to support a speed at which the particular signal needs to be transferred.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes identifying an access point joining a wireless controller in communication with a switch, establishing a control tunnel between the access point and the wireless controller, transmitting an address of the switch from the wireless controller to the access point, and requesting the switch to setup a data tunnel with the access point. An apparatus and logic are also disclosed herein.

Abstract: A system and method for processing data stored in data storage devices is described. A computing processor acquires blocks of data from a target machine and computes an entropy value associated with each block of the acquired data. The computing processor checks the entropy values of each block to determine whether or not the particular block is deemed to contain useful data, before that block is analyzed.

Abstract: Examples disclosed herein provide systems, methods, and software for minimizing Small Computer System Interface (SCSI) limitations on virtual machines are disclosed herein. In one example, a method of operating a volume combining system to combine volumes for a virtual machine includes identifying two or more volumes to be attached to the virtual machine. The method further provides combining the two or more volumes into a single volume, and attaching the single volume to the virtual machine.

In one embodiment, a capacitor comprises a structure having first and second oppositely facing surfaces and a plurality of pores each extending in a first direction from the first surface towards the second surface, and each having pore having insulating material extending along a wall of the pore; a first conductive portion comprising an electrically conductive material extending within at least some of the pores; and a second conductive portion comprising a region of the structure consisting essentially of aluminum surrounding individual pores of the plurality of pores, the second conductive portion electrically isolated from the first conductive portion by the insulating material extending along the walls of the pores.

Abstract: A method of prioritizing data transmissions between a SCSI initiator and a SCSI target in a network system with DCB enabled switches. The method includes a switch controller detecting a SCSI set priority response transmitted via a first pair of switch ports from a SCSI target to a SCSI initiator, which communicate SCSI messaging and transmit I/O data via the first pair of switch ports. In response to detecting the SCSI set priority response, the priority data established by the SCSI target is retrieved and, based on the retrieved priority data, the switch controller autonomously sets the DCB priority for the first pair of switch ports to a first DCB priority value correlated to the retrieved priority data. Transmission of the I/O data between the SCSI initiator and the SCSI target is supported with a priority of the first pair of switch ports set to the first DCB priority value.

Abstract: A computer includes a processor and a memory device. The computer is configured to a) receive decision-making criteria from at least one of at least a portion of a plurality of agents associated with a plurality of agent devices, the memory device, and a user, b) generate valid decision combinations using at least a portion of received decision-making criteria, c) transmit, to the plurality of agents, valid decision combinations, d) receive, from a deciding agent, a decision, and e) constrain, using the received decision, valid decision combinations. The computer is configured to f) return to c) until determining that no more decisions can be received. The computer is configured to g) transmit a final decision set to the plurality of agents upon determining that no more decisions can be received. The final decision set represents a complete combination of decisions including at least a portion of received decisions.

Abstract: An approach to generate and execute an e-commerce gift offer for a social network contact as a function of integrating social network data into a web site offering goods or services for sale within a network computing environment is provided. In response to the user selecting an item offered for sale by the web site, aspects search personal data associated with the user that is acquired from a different, social network web site to determine an indication that another user listed within the acquired personal data has an interest in also acquiring the selected item, and present an offer to the user to select the item for an additional gift purchase for such other user as a recipient. Further aspects use the acquired personal data to narrow down retailers to those that provide delivery service to a current residence of the other user for execution of the gift purchase.
