  • Publication number: 20140310514
Abstract: A method for transmitting an encrypted message from a messaging server (106) to a handset (104) comprising the steps of receiving, at the messaging server (106) and from a sender computer (102), a message to be sent to the handset (104) and a handset identifier associated with the handset and determining that the handset is not registered with the messaging server (106) by determining that the handset identifier does not have an associated handset encryption key stored at the messaging server. The handset (104) is registered by sending a notification to the handset requesting registration, receiving back a handset encryption key associated with the handset identifier; and storing the handset encryption key against the handset identifier at the messaging server which is to be used to encrypt the received message before sending. Prior to registering the handset (104), intermediate encryption of the message may be employed to create an intermediate encrypted message to be stored at the messaging server.

  • Publication number: 20130338806
Abstract: Systems and techniques for removing a sound recording from an audio recording (e.g., an audio recording embedded in a media file) are presented. The system can include an identification component, a first subtraction component and a second subtraction component. The identification component identifies a sound recording in a mixed audio recording. The first subtraction component determines a local linear transformation of the sound recording and subtracts the local linear transformation of the sound recording from the mixed audio recording to generate a new mixed audio recording. The second subtraction component compares one or more segments of the sound recording with one or more corresponding segments of the new mixed audio recording and reduces a power level of the new mixed audio recording based at least in part on correlation of the one or more corresponding segments with the one or more segments.

  • Patent number: 8314002
Abstract: A semiconductor device is formed in a thin float zone wafer. Junctions are diffused into the top surface of the wafer and the wafer is then reduced in thickness by removal of material from its bottom surface. A weak collector is then formed in the bottom surface by diffusion of boron (for a P type collector). The weak collector is then formed or activated only over spaced or intermittent areas. This is done by implant of the collector impurity through a screening mask; or by activating only intermittent areas by a laser beam anneal in which the beam is directed to anneal only preselected areas. The resulting device has an effective very low implant dose, producing a reduced switching energy and increased switching speed, as compared to prior art weak collector/anodes and life time killing technologies.
