  • Patent number: 7766164
Abstract: Medical tray and cover apparatus includes a tray body having an open top and an open front; the cover is removable and covers the tray top and front. The tray body includes a plurality of oppositely disposed grooves that provide for the insertion of closure and divider panels. The tray grooves are configured to allow the tray to be loaded with ampoules or vials without being snagged by the grooves. The trays are transparent so that its contents are visible without removing the cover. The trays are stackable with the cover in place. The trays are lockable such that the ability to stack the trays is not interfered with. The tray and cover eliminate particle generation from use and wear that can contaminate the contents of the tray. The tray and cover are capable of being autoclaved.

  • Patent number: 7721213
Abstract: Information for configuring control apparatus for a power system including a plurality of controlled power supplies is produced using a graphical interface which displays the topology and sequencing of the power supplies in the power system. A database is used to select power supplies to add in determining the power system topology. Sequencing is represented by displacing icons representing the power supplies along lines representing their input and output voltages, and arrows representing startup sequence dependencies. A processor produces the configuration information, consistent with the displayed topology and sequencing, using information for the selected power supplies from the database, for downloading to the control apparatus.

  • Patent number: 7691400
Abstract: A medical device having a drug-eluting coating that includes a pharmaceutical compound or, more generally, a therapeutic material housed within pores of a zeolite carrier. The zeolite carrier has an open porous structure with reservoirs for holding the therapeutic material. The therapeutic material loaded zeolites may be suspended or dispersed within a bioerodible polymer matrix to provide controlled delivery of the therapeutic material. Zeolite drug carriers may have enhanced or optimally engineered pore sizes for a particular therapeutic material and release profile. Along with a therapeutic material, reservoirs of a zeolite drug delivery system may include a release agent. The release agent may be used to entrap the therapeutic material until such time as a triggering condition is met that prompts the release agent to activate and thereby release the therapeutic material from the zeolite reservoir.

  • Publication number: 20100019012
Abstract: A blade guard is adapted to be used with a label stripping machine. The blade guard includes a plurality of recesses spaced along a length of an appropriate material. The bottom surface of each recess is angled to coincide with the optimal angle of the cutting blades of the label stripping machine which allows each blade to be precisely oriented for optimal performance of the label stripping machine. When the blades are retracted, the close fit of each recess relative to the blade, serves to clean the blade of any debris that may have been generated during the delabeling operation.

  • Patent number: 7640533
Abstract: A software build framework includes and architecture to identify software components including sets of classes, or objects, and categorizes the objects into layers in the component. A set of build rules identifies allowable dependencies between the component layers among the same and other components in the system, as well as external entities such as off the shelf (OTS) and third party vendor products outside the development control. The build mechanism enumerates a set of dependencies for each of the components, and an enforcer analyzes the dependencies to identify dependencies in violation of the rules. The enforcer separates the compile time and runtime inheritance paths to detect indirect monolithic inheritance. In this manner, dependency rules define an efficient and optimal architecture which lends itself well to modifications, timely builds and deliverable releases, and enforces the dependency rules at compile time so as to avoid generating an obsolete or suspect build.

  • Patent number: 7596572
Abstract: A system provides categorical mapping of valuetypes by receiving, as input, a valuetype within an object model specification. The system applies a categorical-based generator that applies at least one morphism to the object model specification. Application of the categorical-based generator generates an interface that exposes the valuetype in an interface object model and generates an implementation of the interface that exposes the valuetype in a middleware implementation object model. The interface and its implementation seamlessly support valuetype properties including inheritance, null values, native casting and arbitrary graph communication.

  • Publication number: 20090170404
Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus for polishing media discs by removing or reducing scratches or substances from the surface of damaged discs, including computer data CDs, DVDs, gaming discs and other media discs. The apparatus enables removal or reduction of scratches and materials that prevent the information or data contained on the disc from being read by a conventional disc reading device. The polishing pressure and time are uniformly controlled at predetermined and precision levels sufficient to remove or reduce scratches from the surface of the disc. Also disclosed is a method of removing or reducing scratches from the surface of media discs by using the apparatus of the present invention. The method can be repeated as many times as necessary or desired in order to obtain a finely polished disc from which data is obtainable by conventional disc reading devices.

  • Patent number: 7552216
Abstract: A method of sharing a printer between a plurality of users on a computer network includes attaching host-based networking hardware to the printer. A network communication protocol defines a command channel and a data channel. Only one of the users is allowed to own the data channel at any single point in time. The host-based networking hardware is instructed to accept information on the data channel only from the user that owns the data channel.

  • Patent number: 7546309
Abstract: A system abstracts an object model by receiving an object model specification defining application semantics for an application to access, via invocations, objects identified in the object model specification. The system applies a categorical-based generator that applies at least one morphism to the object model specification to generate an abstraction interface object model that preserves application semantics defined within the object model specification and is independent of a middleware object access mechanism. The system also generates an implementation of the abstraction interface object model for a particular middleware object access mechanism used to access data within objects corresponding to the object model specification.

  • Patent number: 7543019
Abstract: An object adapter within a server application processes client requests supporting a plurality of object models by receiving a former client request requiring access to a former object defined by a former object model. The server application maps any former objects required for access by the former client request to corresponding current objects existing within a current object model and then copies current object data within the current objects of the current object model to former object data within an instantiations of the former objects. The server application can then process the former client request using the instantiation of the former object to satisfy the former client request. The system provides compatibility to former clients and allows them to remain in service when an object model evolves.

  • Patent number: 7534666
Abstract: A process for forming an NPT IGBT in a thin N type silicon wafer in which the bottom surface of a thin silicon wafer (100 microns thick or less) has a shallow reduced lifetime region in its bottom formed by a light species atom implant to a depth of less than about 2.5 microns. A P+ transparent collector region about 0.5 microns deep is formed in the bottom of the damaged region by a boron implant. A collector contact of Al/Ti/NiV and Ag is sputtered onto the collector region and is annealed at 200° C. to 400° C. for 30 to 60 minutes. A pre-anneal step before applying the collector metal can be carried out in vacuum at 300° C. to 400° C. for 30 to 60 seconds.
