  • Patent number: 10080580
Abstract: A curette for pituitary adenoma surgery may include a curette having a tubular blade portion. A first cutting edge is formed at a first end of the blade portion, and a protective shell is formed at an outer periphery of the first cutting edge. A first annular ring formed at a first end of the protective shell is located at the same side of the first cutting edge, and a rod portion extended from a surface of the protective shell is configured to provide a handhold for a user. The first annular ring of the protective shell can prevent the first cutting edge of the blade portion from accidentally cutting the meninges or blood vessels during pituitary adenoma surgery. Thus, the curette can improve the efficiency of the surgery and lower surgery time, anesthetic dosage and risk of the surgery.

  • Publication number: 20180217903
Abstract: A redundancy method includes that a first disaster management function (DMF) device on a first site side receives a first request including identification information of a first virtual machine (VM) and a recovery point objective (RPO), allocates a maximum allowable delay time to each node that input/output (TO) data of the first VM passes through in a redundancy process, and sends a second request to a second DMF device on a second site side. The second request includes a maximum allowable delay time of a second replication gateway function (RGF) device on the second site side, and a maximum allowable delay time of an IO writer function (IOWF) device on the second site side and requests the second site side to perform redundancy on the first VM. Hence, the RPO requirements of the tenants can be satisfied in an entire redundancy process.

  • Publication number: 20180182095
Abstract: Provided is a heart rate activity detecting method based on dynamic images. The method includes tracking a moving object. Preset brightness is determined based on an ambient condition. An image of the moving object is captured to generate a corresponding RGB color space, which is then converted to an image color space with adjustable brightness. The brightness of the image color space is adjusted according to the preset brightness to generate an image with corrected brightness, which is then converted to a RGB color space with the corrected brightness for calculating a heart rate activity of the moving object. The disclosure is capable of addressing the issue of an unstable light source by adjusting the brightness of the dynamic images, and then calculating the heart rate activity of the moving object according to the dynamic images. • Publication number: 20180143091
Abstract: An elastic strain sensor can be incorporated into an artificial skin that can sense flexing by the underlying support structure of the skin to detect and track motion of the support structure. The unidirectional elastic strain sensor can be formed by filling two or more channels in an elastic substrate material with a conductive liquid. At the ends of the channels, a loop port connects the channels to form a serpentine channel. The channels extend along the direction of strain and the loop portions have sufficiently large cross-sectional area in the direction transverse to the direction of strain that the sensor is unidirectional. The resistance is measured at the ends of the serpentine channel and can be used to determine the strain on the sensor. Additional channels can be added to increase the sensitivity of the sensor. The sensors can be stacked on top of each other to increase the sensitivity of the sensor.
